What’s new? MESSAGE FROM THE EDITOR Dear Key Clubbers, We’ll be starting the bidding for officers at this meeting! The bidding sheets will be available during this time (more details at the meeting—ask officers if you have any questions!). Peppermint bark is also going on; stop on by to get some or help us sell! The more the merrier AND you get half the hours you helped to sell (which go towards DCON). Join in on the Peppermint Bark action! Urban Craft Uprising December 5th (Friday), 7th (Sunday) Location: Seattle Center Exhibition Hall Time: Varies depending on shift Leader: TBD Urban Craft Uprising is Seattle’s largest indie craft show, selling a wide variety of hand-crafted goods. Volunteers will be helping with setup, raffling, and general event duties. FRIDAY: Shift 1: 1:30-3:30 vendor support (2 volunteers) Shift 2: 5:00-8:00 vendor support and preview night assistance (3 volunteers) SUNDAY: Shift 1: 10:00-1:30: vendor support and raffle table (3 volunteers) Shift 2: 1:30-3:30: jobs vary from vendor support, raffle, etc. (6 volunteers) Shift 3: 3:30-5:00: jobs vary from vendor support, raffle, etc. (5 volunteers) Shift 4: 5:00-7:00: vendor support, UCU help (7 volunteers)

Macy’s Cookiefest

Macy's Cookiefest December 13th (Saturday) Location: Macy's Downtown Seattle Time: 7:00 am-1:00 pm Leader: Carmen Phu (206)370-4027 At Macy's annual Cookiefest, volunteers will perform tasks such as setting up, cashiering, selling cookies, and cleaning up! Volunteers need to register online at http://www.volunteerspot.com/group/109190988 095#!/show

Inspire Youth Luncheon December 6th (Saturday) Location: Garfield High School Time: 10:30 A.M. - 4 P.M. Leader: Emily Wong (206-235-5743) Every year, the Kiwanis Club of Downtown Seattle helps put on a Holiday Party for the Inspire Youth Project, an amazing organization that provides the missing social and emotional links for at-risk children in our area. The Holiday Party is a luncheon feast for these children and their families!

Treehouse Holiday Carousel December 22nd (Monday), 23rd (Tuesday) Location: Macy's Downtown Seattle Time: 7:00 am-1:00 pm Leader: Lynda Nguyen (206)915-8878 Volunteers will perform tasks such as passing out donation bags to riders, collecting tickets, cashier booth as well as taking pictures for carousel riders. Registration link and paperwork will be available later. Max= 10 people

Treehouse Wearhouse December 23rd (Tuesday) Location: 2100 24th Avenue S./Suite 200 Seattle, WA 98144 Time: 10:00am-1:00pm Leader: Reanne Wong Join in helping out with Treehouse’s Wearhouse, which is a unique store that foster kids can buy clothes and other supplies from for free. Sign up within a week!

Winterfest December 13th (Saturday) Location: South Park Community Center Time: 2-5 P.M. Leader: TBD Help out with sign-ins, raffles, and prize distribution.

DCON REGISTRATION INFO RELEASED!! Hey Key Clubbers! In order to attend DCON this year you need to meet the bare minimum requirements:

Minimum 30 hours for new members or 60 hours for returning In good standing with the club

Don’t worry about hours; if you volunteer regularly you should be in good shape! However, ask Carmen if you want to know your current DCON hours!
