A guide to Microdermabrasion, LED, Microcurrent, CIT, and Dermaplaning Treatments

DEVICE ASSISTED TREATMENTS Microdermabrasion: mechanical exfoliation of the skin through a vacuum system; can be combined with a crystal spray or a diamond tip hand piece with a fine to coarse texture.

LED Light Therapy: LED=Light Emitting Diode, utilized to improve healing time, encourage product penetration, and aid in the cellular metabolic process. RED: reduces inflammation, promoted healing and circulation BLUE: kills p.acne bacteria AMBER: stimulates collagen and elastin growth

Micro-current: firms and tones skin using low-level electrical current mimicking the bodyâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s natural electrical rhythms; micro-current can be performed in-clinic or with personal devices with a single or dual probe.

Micro-needling: known as CIT, Collagen Induction Therapy; stimulates the bodyâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s own production of collagen through pricking or probing the skin with stainless steel probes. Needle depth can range from .2mm-2.0mm. Procedure can be performed with hand-held micro-rollers, or battery operated pen and stamp devices.

Dermaplaning: exfoliating the epidermis by surgically scraping the skin with a blade.

TREATMENT PROTOCOL: CLEANSE:

Cleanse and remove makeup with BIO Enzyme Cleanser. Remove with a warm barber towel and perform a second cleanse with the PRO Exfoliating Cleanser and a stimulating massage. Remove with a warm barber towel.

PRIME:

OPTIONAL: Using upward strokes, apply the Primer Plus Solution with rough gauze. Additional cleansing may be present. Allow skin to completely dry before proceeding to next step.

MICRODERM:

Perform microdermabrasion as directed by machine’s manufacturer.

MASQUE:

Apply BIO Hydrating Mineral Masque with fingertips or a fan brush. Masque may be chilled for additional calming benefits. Allow skin to rest for 10-15 minutes. Remove with a cool barber towel.

BALANCE:

Spritz skin with the pH Solution and allow to absorb.

BRIGHTEN:

Apply 3-4 drops of PRO Lite Serum working into skin.

HEAL:

Massage BIO Hydra C Serum into facial area.

HYDRATE:

Apply 4-5 drops BIO Hydra Infusion to calm and hydrate skin.

EYE AREA:

Lightly massage the MYSTIQ Perfecting Eye Crème into eye area.

EXFOLIATE:

Perform microdermabrasion as directed by machine’s manufacturer.

REFINE:

Apply the Vita-Brite Refresher with a fan brush to the facial region. Application should be even beginning at the forehead. Allow skin to rest for 1-2 minutes. Remove solution with a cool barber towel until no activity is felt on the skin.

BALANCE:

Spritz skin with the pH Solution and allow to absorb.

BRIGHTEN:

Apply 3-4 drops of PRO Lite Serum working into skin.

HEAL:

Apply BIO Hydra C Serum to calm and soothe skin.

HYDRATE:

Massage 3-4 drops of BIO Hydra Infusion into skin.

TREATMENT PROTOCOL: CLEANSE:

PRIME:

Perform microdermabrasion as directed by machine’s manufacturer.

EXFOLIATE:

With a painting motion apply Sal Pulp Definer with gauze to the face beginning at the forehead working around the perimeter of the face, down the nose, across the cheeks and chin last. Allow skin to sit for 30 seconds then release heat from the skin by placing a cold barber towel on the face. Gently press allowing the towel to cool the skin. Do not rub.

BALANCE:

Spritz skin with the pH Solution and allow to absorb.

BRIGHTEN:

Apply 3-4 drops of PRO Lite Serum working into skin.

HYDRATE:

Massage ½ pump of the BIO Hydra C Serum hydrating skin.

HEAL:

Apply 4-5 drops BIO Hydra Infusion to calm and soothe skin.

EYE AREA:

Lightly massage the MYSTIQ Perfecting Eye Crème into eye area.

TREATMENT PROTOCOL: CLEANSE:

PRIME:

Apply Lactic Clear Definer with a fan brush or gauze beginning at the forehead, working around the perimeter of the face, down the nose, cheeks, chin, and upper lip last. Allow solution to rest for 1 minute after application then remove with cool water until no activity is felt on the skin. Skin must be completely dry before proceeding to next step.

EXFOLIATE:

Perform microdermabrasion as directed by machine’s manufacturer.

BALANCE:

Spritz skin with the pH Solution and allow to absorb.

BRIGHTEN:

Apply 3-4 drops of PRO Lite Serum working into skin.

HEAL:

Apply 4-5 drops BIO Hydra Infusion to calm and soothe skin.

HYDRATE:

Massage 3-4 drops of MYSTIQ iLuminating Beauty Oil hydrating skin.

EYE AREA:

Lightly massage the MYSTIQ Perfecting Eye Crème into eye area.

TREATMENT PROTOCOL: CLEANSE:

PRIME:

Using gauze apply the Primer Plus Solution to the entire face. Begin with the forehead and wipe around the perimeter of the face in towards cheeks and nose. During this step, some additional cleansing may be noticeable.

EXFOLIATE:

Apply the Vita-Brite Refresher with a fan brush to the facial region. Application should be even beginning at the forehead. All skin to rest for 1-2 minutes. Do NOT remove. Massage a small amount of MYSTIQ iLuminating Polisher on top of the face working into the skin. Allow skin to rest for 1-2 minutes. Remove mixture with a cool barber towel until no activity is felt on the skin.

LIGHT:

Place client under the Red Light panel. Begin using your hand-held piece if needed. Time light exposure as per manufacturer’s directions.

BRIGHTEN:

Apply 3-4 drops of PRO Lite Serum working into skin.

HEAL:

Apply MYSTIQ Intense C15 Booster and allow to absorb.

HYDRATE:

Massage ½ pump of the BIO Lift Crème hydrating skin.

EYE AREA:

Lightly massage the MYSTIQ Perfecting Eye Crème into eye area.

TREATMENT PROTOCOL:

CLEANSE:

HYDRATE:

Massage ½ pump of the ICE Balancing Lotion hydrating skin.

EYE AREA:

Lightly massage the MYSTIQ Perfecting Eye Crème into eye area.

Microcurrent Basic Treatment

TREATMENT PROTOCOL:

CLEANSE:

With wet hands and wet skin, cleanse skin with MYSTIQ iLuminating Cleanser removing eye makeup if applicable. Remove with cleansing sponges and perform a second cleanse with the PRO Exfoliating Cleanser and a stimulating massage. Remove with a warm barber towel.

PRIME:

EXFOLIATE:

Combine equal parts of ICE Refining Masque and MYSTIQ iLuminating Cleanser. Massage mixture into skin focusing on any resistive or problem areas for 1-2 minutes. Allow skin to rest for 2 minutes then remove with a tepid barber towel or cleansing sponges.

BALANCE:

Spritz skin with the pH Solution and allow to absorb.

BRIGHTEN:

Massage 3-4 drops of PRO Lite Serum into skin.

STIMULATE:

Mix equal parts of BIO Hydra Infusion and PRO Firming Serum. Use the mixture and perform micro-current as per the manufacturer’s directions.

HYDRATE:

Ionize and massage BIO Caviar Crème into skin. Allow to absorb.

EYES:

Ionize and gently massage MYSTIQ Perfecting Eye Crème into eye area.

TREATMENT PROTOCOL: CONSENT:

Client completes a consent form and skin analysis paperwork.

CLEANSE:

Cleanse facial are with ICE Sal Cleanser then remove with facial sponges or a warm barber towel.

PHOTOS:

Take ‘before’ photos of client’s facial regions: front, lateral, and a close up.

CIT:

Divide client’s face and neck into equal quadrants. Perform CIT movements using a .5mm device as per manufacturer’s directions. Monitor client pain tolerance during this step. Procedure should last no more than 10 minutes. Remove any residue with a clean 4x4 gauze pad.

BALANCE:

Lightly spritz pH Solution across the facial area. Allow to absorb.

CALM:

Apply 1-2 pumps of MYSTIQ Intense C15 Booster to entire facial region. Allow to absorb completely.

HYDRATE:

Apply 3-4 drops of BIO Hydra Infusion to hydrate and soothe skin.

PROTECT:

Collagen Induction Therapy Medical Treatment

PRODUCTS NEEDED: ICE Sal Cleanser Topical anesthetic of choice BIO Hydra Infusion MYSTIQ Intense C15 Booster PRO Lite Serum Prescribed numbing creme SPF Solar Shield 30 Oil - Free BB Creme color of choice BIO Lip Factor

TREATMENT PROTOCOL:

TREATMENT COST: $TBD by machine TREATMENT TIME: 45 Minutes

CONSENT:

Client completes a consent form and skin analysis paperwork.

CLEANSE:

Cleanse facial area with ICE Sal Cleanser removing with gauze or sponges.

PHOTOS:

Take ‘before’ photos of client’s facial regions: front, lateral, and a close up.

PREP:

Apply topical anesthetic evenly across facial region to receive treatment. Allow skin to rest for a minimum of 30 minutes for solution to take effect.

CIT:

Divide client’s face and neck into equal quadrants. Additional areas can also be quad-divided such as the chest and back of the hands. Lightly wipe away topical anesthetic to each quadrant before performing CIT movements. Apply a generous amount of BIO Hydra Infusion across facial region being treated. Begin treatment using pen device ensuring you have enough product for a smooth glide. Follow manufacturer's guidelines as per movements. Monitor client pain tolerance at this time.

CLEANSE:

Remove any blood or residue with a moist 4x4 gauze pad.

BALANCE:

Lightly spritz pH Solution across the facial area. Allow to absorb.

CALM:

Combine 3-4 drops of PRO Lite Serum to 1-2 pumps of MYSTIQ Intense C15 Booster applying to entire facial region. Allow to absorb completely.

HYDRATE:

Apply 3-4 drops of BIO Hydra Infusion to hydrate and soothe skin.

PROTECT:

Gently apply SPF Solar Shield 30 Oil-Free or colored matched BB Creme to entire facial area using the pat-n-roll technique. Apply BIO Lip Factor across the lips.

POST CARE:

Dermaplaning Basic Treatment

MYSTIQ Perfecting Eye Crème SPF Solar Shield 30 Oil-Free BIO Lip Factor TREATMENT COST: $TBD by machine TREATMENT TIME: 60 Minutes

TREATMENT PROTOCOL: CLEANSE:

Double cleanse with BIO Enzyme Cleanser, then ICE Sal Cleanser and remove with a warm barber towel. No primer is needed to avoid the blade dragging on the skin.

DERMAPLANE:

Perform dermaplaning procedure. Spritz pH Solution upon a 4x4 gauze and wipe any excess debris off of the skin’s surface as needed.

EXFOLIATE:

(Optional) With an esthetics wipe, apply Vita-Brite Refresher to the face. Leave on for 1-2 minutes then remove with cool water until no activity is felt.

BALANCE:

Spritz pH Solution across the facial area. Allow to absorb.

LIGHTEN:

Apply 4-5 drops of PRO Lite Serum to brighten skin.

REPAIR:

Apply BIO Hydra C Serum to facial area to repair and reduce redness on the skin.

HYDRATE:

Apply 4-5 drops of BIO Hydra Infusion to hydrate and calm skin.
