The Dragon School - Discover the Dragon
The Dragon is a happy, vibrant, relaxed community where boys and girls discover and develop their talents. Dedicated and inspiring teachers encourage a love of learning and treat each child as an individual. This year marks an exciting new chapter thanks to the arrival of a new Head, Emma Goldsmith. The nurturing PrePrep is in the heart of Summertown and provides the ideal foundations for future learning whilst ensuring that curiosity and creativity are fostered. Reception children enjoy learning through play and Muddy Dragons (Forest School) is a real highlight. From Year 1 upwards, Music, Sport (including swimming), Art and French are taught by specialists. Family Days at the Science Oxford Centre
Our Science Oxford Centre is a unique science-themed experience
for children and families – all you need to get started is a little curiosity! Experiment and make discoveries in our Exploration Zone and explore the trails in our 15 acres of woodland. Families are welcome to bring a picnic lunch or grab something to eat and drink at the Skogen café, serving locally-roasted coffee, home-made cakes and light lunches. Don’t forget to try their famous cinnamon buns!
We are open every Saturday for Family Days throughout the Autumn, with additional Halloween-themed Family Days during October half term. Tickets include two hours in the Exploration Zone and all day in the woodland and outdoor areas.
We also run regular Saturday Creative Computing and Science Clubs at the Centre. We’ll be visiting the new Museum of Oxford in half term too, with interactive performances of our ‘Science of Magic’ show for families. To book, see scienceoxford.com/events
