Weasley Is Our King!
Review by BetterLYF
Ron is our very underrated chap who happens to get shadowed a lot by the other characters. We are here to highlight what actually makes him truly special! For starters, Ron is the most relatable character out of the bunch. He displays true anxieties for examinations, flying lessons and even coming across weird creatures, despite being the only one who is from the magical world out of the trio! Ron welcomes Harry into his world, to his family. Despite having his own set of self-doubts and low self-esteem as he is the 6th child in a big family of prodigies, Ron gets along extremely well with “the boy who lived.”
Ron not only comes from a wizarding family, he comes from a loving wizarding family and especially a family that knows how to stick together and stand up for each other as their core values. This is what makes Ron an extremely reliable friend to both Harry and Hermione which often gets unnoticed. Ron stands up for Hermione as well when Malfoy uses a really bad slur to point out her nonwizarding background. Ron is street smart, witty, brave, an ace chess player (best Hogwarts has ever seen in years), wins the House Cup for Gryffindor, and is always up-to-date with all the news in the wizarding world.
I say, we all should have a little bit of Ron in us. Despite having his own set of insecurities, Ron portrays a full spectrum of his emotions and strengths. He is always there to stand by his friends, even if he has a wand that backfires.
He portrays a lot of resilience and trust on his instincts when he manages to destroy the Horcrux that had been distorting his reality. He survives on his own and comes back to his friends, accepting his faults and is in fact always coming back to be better. Ron has always surpassed all expectations, throughout the series. There is a certain spontaneity about his character that Hermione always admired as well, which is why she falls for him.
