What is Imposter Syndrome? How to Deal With It? Do you often feel dissatisfied with your work and become your biggest critic?
It has been estimated that nearly 70% of individuals will experience signs and symptoms of the impostor phenomenon at least once in their life.
Imposter syndrome can sound like -
"I am not worthy or I don't deserve this."
"I am not doing enough."
"Maybe the interview was too easy, that's why I could clear it or maybe it was a lucky day for me."
"If people get to know the real me they will know I don't know anything. "
" I don't think I am equipped to do this."
How to deal with Imposter Syndrome?
Pay attention to how you speak to yourself. And if you see that voice is negative try replacing it with a positive one. For eg: Try replacing"I don't deserve anything" with "Let me try and see how it goes before judging myself."
Evaluate your progress and see how it makes you feel, instead of criticizing yourself.
Acknowledge the efforts it took you to reach here. It's not luck but rather your hard work
