Don’t Like Making

Booking Calls?

Say what? You read it right. If you dread picking up the phone to get bookings - then don’t! But in order to do that, you’ll need a new goal! Your new goal will be to get as many bookings as you possibly can at parties. It will work! But you have to make it work. There is an art to this, however.

Then don’t!

sure you do it at every party you do, NO MATTER WHAT! Offer, don’t ask! That means offer to come spoil your potential host and her friends with a great experience that’s all about HER instead of asking her if she’d like to book a party with you (see the difference?)

Here are some simple tools to make sure you’re getting enthusiastic Display Your Party Dates new hosts from every party you A Booking Tree is a great way to hold. Try one, try them all! do this. It has absolutely NOTHING to do with social media or an email blast. You don’t even have to have a party to do it! Figured it out yet?

to not only be carrying this month’s specials, but you should bust out products that are on special for next month and make showing them off daily a number one purpose in your life. If it means you have to carry two purses and a bag, make it work! The more your customers see how you use your products, the more they realize how versatile they are and that they may truly need one. Not to mention that it’s FREE ADVERTISING, GIRL!

Every month, you know we have a monthly special, one for customers and one for Hostesses. We know months in advance what the specials will be. We have opportunities to earn those products or With the LUT, make get them for a deep sure they’re in your car. discount. So you need ALWAYS! When you go

grocery shopping, put them in your cart and take them inside the store. Why? Somebody is going to ask you where you got those bags. If they don’t ask you as you going through the store shopping, they are going to ask you during checkout! Then, they are going to want to know how much they are when you tell them you sell them. Whip out your phone right there in the produce aisle in Target, use the app, and take their order! You are your own walking billboard. Never miss an opportunity to sell without selling!

business BUILDING How are you doing? Are you hitting your goals? Are you keeping your calendar booked and talking about sponsoring? You have to. You HAVE to if you are going to be sitting poolside on that boat up there, ladies! Don’t make it harder than it has to be. Don’t overthink it. Just do it! Make it part of your routine. If you talk to someone, you offer them three opportunities - to join your team, to party, or to shop. Offer them in that order! With our KitFree enrollment, that is the best deal going! The full kit is the next

best deal. Then your party comes in and they can take advantage of their rewards. Last but not least, you can offer them a fantastic customer special. Home Office has done the ground work, you just need to communicate and connect. As you meet new people and have those conversations, people will fall into three categories - team members, hostesses, or customers. Regardless of which category they fall into, they will help you move one step closer to your goal!

Summer Scheduling Working independently can be a challenge. The same thing holds true for working from home. Combine the two - like so many of us do - and the struggle is real at times, especially during the summer. The kids are out of school, the sun is out, and that chair by the pool is calling your name! We have all been there! Rather than struggle with summer scheduling, embrace one of the best features of owning your own business and make this your best selling summer yet! Use the flexibility that is naturally built in, set a few boundaries, develop a plan and make it work to your advantage! Struggling with the art of time management? Consider blocking time for income producing activities! A power hour is a great way to really get some work done with minimal time in the office. Write down your action plan for each day and stick to it! Leave routine tasks like cleaning off your desk for another time - dedicate this time to booking and recruiting

calls, customer follow up, and administrative tasks that cannot wait (like sending out hostess packets). When the hour is up move on! Minimize distractions by setting boundaries, especially with family. Remind them that the blessing of having you there every day instead of being off at an office job also carries the need for you to focus on business each day for a short while. Plan activities that kids can do independent of you while you are working. Day camps and play groups are a great ways to keep the kids busy and give you a few hours (or days each week) to work your business. Consider adding an additional party or two to your summer schedule and let the business pay for those extra activity expenses. Being present with family and focusing on your business can be done harmoniously by focusing on what is important, getting everyone on board, developing your plan and sticking to it!

Summertime

SANITY TIPS

TIP #1 Are the kiddos heading off to summer camp for a whole week this year? Triple book your week and knock out all the parties for your month the week they’re away! When they return home, you’re free and ready to savor the summer with them! TIP #2 Need to make a few booking calls, but the 3-year-old has other plans? Have a “super special cinch sac” ready with toys they get to play with only while mom is on the phone! They’ll love getting to enjoy those “special toy treats” and you’ll get a few moments to make those calls in peace! TIP #3 Mowing grass, babysitting, and lifeguarding at the pool - oh the joys of summertime jobs! If you have teens or college kids home for the summer, you know they want to have a little extra pocket change and a summer job is a great way to encourage a positive work ethic and instill a little self-independence. Why not hire them to work for you! Have them help around your home office by labeling catalogs, licking stamps, prepping happy mail, and separate orders, or dusting the desk. The older kids are probably better suited to scheduling Facebook and instagram posts than you are - so put their talents to good use! Plus, it will free you up to focus on other areas of your business!

Corner Senior Consultant

LEADING BY EXAMPLE! The easiest way to train someone is with “on the job” training. Your parties are fertile soil for teaching a new consultant through hands on, experiential learning. Why? It turns your party into a sponsoring environment by providing education and training, and you’ll begin to effortlessly increase the interest in joining your team. Wouldn’t that be nice! The big takeaway for guests - they’ll leave thinking, “Wow, if I started my business with this person, I’d get the same high level, quality commitment and training!” How easy is that? Another tip: Ask your new recruit to ride to and from the show with you. This gives you some great one-on-one Q&A time. Show her how it’s done. She’ll never forget it!

leading YOUR TEAM

Hallmarks of a great sponsor

The first 120 days are the most crucial for any new team member! If you want to grow a successful team that will stay the course and produce sustained growth for you and your business, you must also invest the time to support and train them along the way. Just because you know something doesn’t mean everybody on your team knows it or even knows where to find it. It’s your job as their leader - to make sure they know! So before they can jump onto the ThirtyOneToday website and start working their way through the new consultant training tools, make sure you have been in touch with them and let them know that you are there for them to answer questions or point them in the right direction when needed. As their leader, you also need to make sure they are progressing in a productive manner as a new consultant. Are they meeting milestones? Are they on track for their first 120 days? That’s part of your job! Don’t make the mistake

of neglecting it! If you lose touch with them, they will oftentimes lose touch with their business! How can you help? Offer to do their first party with them. You’ll be there for moral support and to help with the checkout process. Particularly if there are more than 10 guests! That’s going to take a lot of the pressure off them. It also gives an opportunity for guests to see some of the newer products that are not in the enrollment kit. It also shows potential recruits just how supportive your team is and that might allay fears they may have about joining! Even if it’s just a virtual party that you co-host or maybe it’s their launch party - make the effort to help them! Remember, recruiting is a powerful aspect to growing your business. Working with a new team member is not only what is best for them, but it is a best business practice for you! Make the time to do it - make it nonnegotiable - you won’t regret it! It’s time well invested!

GettingOutThere Raising Business Awareness

Back a hundred or so years ago, people carried “calling cards”. They were simple, decorative cards that had nothing but their name on them. They would leave them in parlors to let someone know they had “called” on them. Those cards evolved into the business cards that we have become familiar with today. But now, with the widespread availability and affordability of web-to-print services, adding so much more to your business card is as simple as typing out a web form! They are must haves in business and should include things like your website, social media accounts, and even info about incentives for joining your team!

AFTER they join or AFTER they are your customer. Same for the phone number if you are not comfortable with that! If you have a work phone - include it! It’s up to you and your comfort level! Just be sure to include enough information for them to reach you! At a minimum it should have your name, your title, and at least a web address or a link to a Facebook VIP Group. PRO-TIP: Remember, everything that leaves your hands need a path back to you in some manner!

Check out the next page to find out a few places to leave your business card or old catalogs or opportunity kits. Even So, what should be on yours? Leave off if they are old - they are still useful in your home address - if that information getting that potential customer in touch needs to be shared, you can do that with you!
