Emma AND JACK Don't share their food

Dedicated to Hugh, and all the other boys and girls out there who have things about them that make them neat. L.M.
Here, on this page, are Emma and Jack, They’re friends who play, and friends who yack. They share their trucks and their planes, And their cars and their trains, But they never share their food or their snack.
Emma uses the shovel and gives it to Jack, Jack takes a turn and gives it right back. They share the leaves, the trees, And the air they breathe, But never their food or their snack.
Jack jumps in puddles, then steps away, Because now it’s his friend’s turn to play. Emma jumps so high she makes the ducks go quack, They share the splashes, but never their snack.
With shells at the beach, they pile them high, They build them so tall they could scrape the sky, As the sun heads to bed, Emma shows it to Jack. But she never, ever, shares her food or her snack.
A purple crayon for Jack, Emma takes a red, They draw a big bear sitting alone in his bed. They draw silly faces, first Emma, then Jack, They share the paper, but not their snack.
Emma and Jack share: Trucks and planes and cars and trains, The leaves, the trees, and the air they breathe, Splashes that make the ducks go quack, And the time of the day when the moon comes back. They share all the colours, from red to black, Because they’re such good friends, Emma and Jack.

AN JACK
A fun little story with a beat. Kids love hearing this catchy tale, almost as much as parents love telling it. Perfect for kids with dietary restrictions/allergies who are too young to know what they can and cannot eat. Ages 25
