Take a few minutes to read through this brochure and, if you’ve got any questions, feel free to give us a call, or just pop in to have a chat. Remember – if you want to keep up-to-date with everything that’s happening at dx, you can sign up to receive our monthly classes e-flyer, just contact us with your details. GENERAL INFORMATION 15 MINUTE RULE: To prevent injury, participants more than 15 minutes late are not allowed into class, as the warm up section will have been missed. WHAT TO WEAR: Anything comfortable that allows you to move freely. Tracksuit bottoms or leggings and a t-shirt are suitable for most classes. Please remove all jewellery before taking part to avoid injuries. Please note that for all classes we do not allow black-soled trainers or outdoor shoes in our studios because they can damage our floors. LEVELS: It is not possible to attend multiple levels of the same dance style either as a block booker or a pay-as-you-go participant. Please attend the session that is most suited to your level of training/experience. If you’re unsure which level is right for you, you’ll be able to attend two classes at first to make your decision. Our tutors will also be on hand to give
advice. More information about levels can be found on page 5.
ACCESS: We strive to make our classes as accessible as possible to participants with disabilities. Please call us to discuss any support you might need. NEW TO CLASSES? If you’re not sure what to expect and are worried about your first visit, we can pair you up with a regular class-going ‘buddy’. Just call us to arrange. ENQUIRIES: We’re on hand 6 days a week to help you find the right class for you or your children. Call or email us your questions. 0121 689 3170 // info@dancexchange.org.uk DanceXchange // Level 5 Birmingham Hippodrome // Thorp Street // Birmingham // B5 4TB
