Daniela Guerreiro

Daniela Guerreiro is a Portuguese artist, born in 1992 in Faro Today he lives in Lisbon where he finds most of his inspiration He studied Visual Arts at the Faculty of Algarve from 2013 to 2014, and then painting from 2014 to 2016, at the Belas Artes de Lisboa. Daniela is a figurative painter whose main intention of her work is to show reality, naked and raw, that is, her vision of the world Painting allows you to capture individual and collective experiences in a more explicit concept. Each of them embodies the concept of social exclusion, shame, depression, insecurity, violence, etc., namely feelings that are little heard and talked about by society While oil paintings individualize society, murals and street paintings aim to cover a broader, collective environment. The use of unconventional models allows you to convey a hidden beauty between each of them, where you look for a hidden and raw beauty of each character, working on color and the interaction between light and darkness A personal and global journey in search of health and bodily connection is her main goal as a visual artist. “We need diversity in the examples around us . And we all need a healthier relationship with our bodies and with our image, to relate to the world . ”

Ohnishi

One of the most important works of the painter Hiroyuki Onishi is his depiction of beautiful women The women in his paintings are characterized by their strong-willed eyes, beautiful curves, and fragile atmosphere. His works have a very philosophical atmosphere, which is the most attractive feature of his works, and the melancholy atmosphere is wonderful. Another thing that should not be forgotten when discussing Hiroyuki Onishi's works is the blank space The margins, which give the viewer a sense of the temperature and weight of the air surrounding the motif figures, is something that cannot be experienced anywhere else but in Hiroyuki Onishi's works . This beauty of the margins is not only supported by the artist's technical skills, such as the unique cropping and composition of the figures, but also by his strong philosophy regarding the boundaries between people, objects, and space. The overwhelming density of the beauty of the margins and the portraits of women that evoke the inner lives and pasts of these people make Hiroyuki Onishi's beautiful paintings of women a profoundly weighty work

The two pieces I'm displaying in this exhibition are part of a wider body of work based on still frames from 50s and 60s TV shows like “The Twilight Zone”, “Hitchcock Presents ”, “The Hitchcock Hour”, “Tales of Tomorrow” and “The Outer Limits ” In them, I attempt to renew or reanimate the old and poignant images that I see as still worthy of life by isolating them and presenting them in a new way . I chose images from TV shows as opposed to movies because I did not want the actors to be immediately identifiable; I wanted the beauty of the images themselves as opposed to simply a portrait of a “ celebrity ” .

The subject of my work is often centered around people and how they relate to place I’m intrigued by how they either fit or don’t fit appropriately into their surroundings be those physical or psychological. Being influenced by other art forms like literature and cinema, I try to use a narrative to suggest what the characters are doing, may just have done or are about to do As well as thoughts or doubts they might be experiencing
