Sort of Black is a collaboration between Rasmus Storm (CPH) and TRIWA (STHLM). The collaboration carries two watches made as a tribute to the attitude of the colour black, designed in a close collaboration between Rasmus Storm and the design team at TRIWA.
The watches are designed in black, letting variations of textures and depth feature as indicators, with the exception of the shiny gold detailing on the hands that adds a bit of flare to the watch. “We really liked working with Rasmus on this project. He had clear ideas from the start on the look and feel of the watches. From that on we have been trying out every detail to get it just right. We didn’t go all black, because we wanted to highlight the great details, but it is definitely sort of black”. Says Ludvig Scheja, Creative Director at TRIWA. “I wanted to create something timeless but with attitude. The outcome is a watch embracing black with all its darkness and shadows being both classic and strong. Creating the watch was a constant exchange of ideas between me and TRIWA. We tried to design a feeling, an attitude, a way of living. The outcome is a watch embracing black with all its darkness and shadows being both classic and strong”. Says Rasmus Storm. The watches will be launched in selected stores, www.triwa.com and in the Storm store on the 8th of August. Lifestyle photos have been shot with Danish photographer Oliver Knauer. Price: Sort of Black – €230 / $310, Sort of Black Chrono – €315 / $430 TRIWA When something gets old and conservative it becomes predictable. To transform and adapt is a law of nature.
