Since 1986, dedicated to triathlon alone. We invented the tri-specific wetsuit, the tri-specific bike, and SHIFT technology. The only bike brand you’ll see consistently at IRONMANŽ events.

Performance Driven Triathlon Bikes Sometimes the simple, commonsense answer turns out to be the most clever, though that can be easy to miss that if you’ve ever spent a few hours researching triathlon bikes. Back in 2008, we did something kind of unthinkable: we pushed the performance of a bike by pushing the downtube about 18mm off center to shift the bulk of the air away from drag-heavy drive side of the bike. That simple idea, in a blink, gave us one of the most aerodynamic triathlon bikes in the world. Over the past two years, we’ve taken that same idea – commonsense development – and made sure to apply it toward your success as a triathlete on race day. This year, we’re proud to introduce the PRsix in that same tradition. It’s a superbike in every sense of the word, minus the overwhelming hassle of complexity generally associated with superbikes. And, that’s the idea as we see it: a brand built around thoughtful, tri-specific bikes without all the baggage... so you can still get out for a ride this afternoon.

Peter Hurley, Triathlete & CEO, American Bicycle Group

PRsix

The lightweight, elite-aero, and no-nonsense superbike for the next generation of triathlon. Made for quick acceleration out of transition and absolute ease of adjustment and assembly.

Doesn’t Get much easier than two wrenches. Loaded with aero features including boat tail aerodynamics, fixed aero downtube, and Leading Edge Absent (LEA) design elements, the PRsix continues QR’s commitment to develop bikes with the optimal triathlete experience in mind. The lightest frameset in the elite-aero category, the PRsix jumps out of transition and is recognized by our pros for its quick acceleration and responsive, stable handling, even in high crosswinds. With the PRsix, QR set out to bring all the advantages of a traditional superbike without the complexity and proprietary nature of cockpit and braking components. In the process, we learned something important: triathletes want a bike that’s easy to manage on the road, of course, but also a bike that travels well, is suitable for a

variety of courses each year, and can be quickly adjusted on race day with just two wrench sizes.

technological advantage:

The biggest advantage a triathlete can have headed into the run is a strong bike. QR bikes offer the greatest range of fit capability in the market from the cockpit to the saddle.

technological advantage:

Simplicity

We know race day is more than just the day you swim, bike, and run. It’s also about breaking down, packing, and being able to make quick adjustments without the need for an engineering degree or onsite workbench. QR bikes are made to race; that means a commitment to technological advantage:

easy assembly and adjustement in our design process.

WEIGHT

Like most of the industry, we’ve spent years focusing on improved aerodynamics across our full line, but we’ve also made sure to design bikes that feel light, lively, and ready to race. The 2015 PRsix is case in point. In direct comparison to other superbikes in the elite-aero category, the PRsix

technological advantage:

Tri Focus

Who knows triathlon bikes better than QR? No one. Our focus on the sport of triathlon means that our bikes are not designed with the constraints of a road time trial bike for the pro circuit, then simply repurposed for the triathlon market. We start and stop with triathlon and work consistently to understand the needs of triathletes as the sport evolves.

The performance demands of sprint, Olympic, or longer events require a bike that can match aero expectations and still accommodate ideal athlete position to advance a successful run.

SUPPORT

We live for tri. For over 25 years, Quintana Roo has pushed the boundaries of triathlon technology to help athletes achieve their goals. We show up, we participate, we listen.

We Show Up. Triathletes may be surprised to see a bike company during race week, but we know how important your race is to you. We’re here to support our pros and age-group athletes with tech support so that you have one less thing to worry about on race day. In the past year, the QR Support Team was at dozens of events nationwide. Next year, it’ll be more.

We Participate. We’ve built a company infused with a passion for triathlon by encouraging both an active, healthy lifestyle and the ability to train for races during the work week. In the past year, our CEO has participated in both half IRONMAN and IRONMAN events. That’s as close as you can get to the sport.

We Listen. Our bikes are refined in the wind tunnel and built on expertise, but we couldn’t do it without the feedback and inside knowledge we gain from teams and clubs like QT2 Systems and Dynamo MultiSport. Having the opportunity to work with and understand the needs of these athletes gives everyone an advantage. The 2015 PRsix is proof.

Ready? Let’s Go! This year, we’re proud to be the bike course sponsor for the legendary IRONMAN Lake Placid and the inaugural IRONMAN Chattanooga, our hometown. Rent a QR at 20 different events next year, including: + IRONMAN World Championships

The Next Generation – 2015 PRSIX We have featured it as our cover bike, and it is ready to blow apart your preconceived notions of the superbike. Forget the travel headaches and engineering degree needed for assembly of other superbikes. But, don’t take our word for it. Others are starting to notice. Triathlete Magazine says, “It is of course designed to maximize aero performance and fit, but has a special emphasis on usability and function. QR has the deepest history with the sport of all the bike makers and the PR Six reflects their awareness of the needs of triathletes, which stretches beyond speed in a wind tunnel.” Visit us online at QuintanaRooTri.com!
