Free Narcan training event
Nassau County has been addressing the opioid crisis on multiple fronts, one of them is educating its residents on the use of Naloxone, also known by the trade name Narcan.
On Wednesday, May 24, at 6:30 p.m. Nassau County will hold a community forum will help people learn the signs of an opiate overdose and how to administer the lifesaving antidote Narcan that can reverse the fatal effects of an opioid overdose and save a person’s life.
The event will be held at Central Nassau Guidance and Counseling Services, 950 South Oyster Bay Road, Hicksville.
