Town helps homeless children celebrate birthdays Town plans Terrapin Day, beach cleanup

The Town of Oyster Bay, along with the Friends of the Bay, will be co-hosting their annual Terrapin Awareness Day and Beach Cleanup on Sunday, June 24, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Center Island Beach.

Oyster Bay Town Supervisor Joseph Saladino and Town Clerk Richard LaMarca recently delivered hundreds of new toys to Birthday Wishes of Long Island to support birthday parties for homeless children on Long Island. Birthday Wishes of Long Island is an amazing organization that serves thousands of homeless children and their families by bringing them the joy of celebrating a birthday and having a party.
