Nassau County Police are investigating an attempted burglary of a Syosset home on Thursday, June 15, at 4:38 a.m.

According to police, the homeowner of a residence on Circle Drive was awoken by a loud noise that came from the first floor of his home. As the homeowner, 45, walked downstairs he observed two unknown men cle’s door handles in an attempt to gain access to the vehicles. However, the vehicles were locked. The subjects then entered the rear yard and attempted to open the rear sliding glass door, which was locked. They then tried a basement window, causing damage to the window and making the loud noise.
