Welcome to Little Angel Theatre. We have lots in store this autumn and winter, including Christmas events for you and your loved ones, crafty activities for children and a wealth of fantastic visiting theatre companies performing their shows just for you. At the heart of this season we have created three brand new puppetry productions: Emily Rising, Let’s Fly and Me.... Between them they explore themes of growing up, the thrill of a good adventure and the joys of childhood, and of course they are all unforgettable stories enriched by beautiful puppetry. If this is not enough we have teamed up with world renowned theatre company Kneehigh to bring A Very Old Man with Enormous Wings back onto our stage. We debuted this fantastic production in 2011 and people have not stopped talking about it since. Whatever your age, there is something for you. We look forward to seeing you at Little Angel Theatre or Little Angel Studios very soon.

EMILY RISING
10 SEPTEMBER– 20 NOVEMBER 2016 A new play by Dan Rebellato Presented by Little Angel Theatre & Goblin “That’s beautiful. Sparks in the air. Like glitter hanging in the sky.” A unique and heart-warming story brought to life with stunning puppetry that will take you soaring into the sky. Emily wakes up one bright autumn morning to find that her feet can’t touch the ground, and no one can understand why. To everyone’s surprise Emily keeps rising higher and higher. From sleeping upside-down on her ceiling and flying above her school playground, to soaring over a starry-skied London, Emily’s adventure is just beginning. Emily discovers a world that looks completely different. She’s not scared at all — it’s fun being high up. But she’s not coming down… Credits A Little Angel Theatre & Goblin co-production Written by Dan Rebellato Directed by Oliver Hymans Puppet Design by Alison Alexander Set Design by Rachael Champion Music composed by Patrick Furness

A VERY OLD MAN WITH ENORMOUS WINGS 26 NOVEMBER 2016– 29 JANUARY 2017 Based on a short story by Gabriel García Márquez The world’s been sad since Tuesday. Then the sky gets frisky, the sea rears up and, in a bolt of lightning, a very old man with enormous wings crashes to earth in a flurry of feathers. Nothing will ever be the same again! BIRTHDAY PARTIES Little Angel Theatre is the perfect venue to celebrate your child’s birthday. You’ll enjoy a magical puppet show and then get to meet the puppets after the performance. Every child will leave with their own party bag. Contact our box office for pricing and more information: 020 7226 1787.
As well as our intimate theatre we also have a range of studio spaces available for private hire, situated in the heart of Islington. Previous hires have included film companies, conferences, book launches and birthday parties. Email us at hires@littleangeltheatre.com to tell us about your event.
