There are several sides to every city and generally something in them for everyone, but that’s not always apparent, especially if it’s adults deciding where to go and what to see. That’s the trouble with being an adult, you tend to focus on museums and restaurants and how to get about and you miss out on all the fun stuff.
And, unusually for a travel guide, there are top tips on things to avoid too: muddy hills, overpriced popcorn and scavenging seagulls.
Step in the youngsters. This guide is written by budding young travel writers from Brighton and Hove specifically for other young visitors.
This guide gives a unique and quirky insight into the city, where its young writers all attend school and spend their spare time making the most of what it has to offer.
It’s a culmination of several months work at writing shops run by the literacy charity Little Green Pig, involving children from across the city. Their insider knowledge proved invaluable. Who knows better what the appeal of Brighton and Hove to younger visitors is than the young people who live here?
It offers a lively, fresh look at one of Britain’s most famous seaside resorts and showcases a range of up and coming travel writing talent. Lizzie Enfield, freelance travel writer and novelist.

So, what’s on 57 Queens Road? Panda Supermarket! This twofloored shop sells Chinese, Japanese, Korean and British food. The first floor sells: frozen food, drinks and sauces. The second floor sells snacks and biscuits. Having stood for one and half years, the supermarket is quite new, also having a hot-pot restaurant next door. GAK is a famous guitar shop in Brighton and is in the middle of the North Laine. All types of guitars from Fenders to Gibsons can be bought here. Famous rockstars shop here. The staff know everything about musical instruments.

I really recommend going to the comic shop as it’s full of things from Marvel to Pokémon. There are even model characters if you don’t fancy buying a comic to read. Pen to Paper is great for gifts and personalised stationery. It sells pens, stamps, paper, wrapping paper, cards, and most of all notebooks. It’s great if you’re looking for a gift or just something for yourself.
Smiggle has water bottles, headphones, overlapping pencil cases, pop-up pencil cases and more. If Smiggle is your style then go there every five weeks. THINGS COST LOTS OF MONEY, DON’T BUY TOO MUCH!
I would really recommend you go there, even if it’s just to gaze longingly at the stationery.

If you are looking for stationery and headphones and so on, then Smiggle is the place for you. It has everything you need for starting school or even just for a present. Smiggle has masses of pencil cases and even pens and pencils to go with it. You can also buy scented equipment, school bags, water bottles and talking alarm clocks. The prices are quite high but Smiggle is a great place for spending your money. You’ll never leave empty handed!

River Island is mainly a clothes store. When you get in Churchill Square you go in the mall and you go upstairs and turn left. Also, in River Island there are key rings and body lotion and other things like that.
They also sell little bags with chocolate, gummies and lots more. You have a kids’ section divided into two sections, one section for girls, one section for boys.
Smiggle is amazing. You can get stationery like pencil cases, bottles, watches, lunch boxes, rucksacks, rubbers that are scented and so much more but so expensive. Normal pencil cases are like £3, Smiggle pencil cases are like £14-£18! It’s so busy. There are big pencil cases and slim pencil cases but they don’t fit in your drawer, whatever the size. - Poppi

If you love fashion, chic and geek, Claire’s is definitely the place for you. First let me start on the accessories. No. 1, JoJo Siwa bows if you want your hair to be popping. I certainly recommend these. Everybody is wearing these nowadays and I know it’s a perfect way for you to fit in.
Claire’s is so cool. You can get gel nails, JoJo bows, make up, watches, glasses. You can get your ears pierced, earrings, hats, nose-rings, rucksacks, wigs, hairbands and much more. Some of the necklaces are friendship necklaces and bracelets, and JoJo bows are in all different sizes and shapes and colours. - Poppi

Game is a great place to buy all types of games like video games and board games. It’s not hard to find since it stands out. I recommend looking at everything before you buy anything. Choose carefully. The second - hand equipment is there too so don’t hesitate to try it out. And even if you can’t afford anything there are still games you can try out for free. They also sell things for collections like cards and figurines. These figurines can surprisingly be used for characters in other games.
My family owns this shop on London Road which is a grocer’s shop. We have chewing gum, lollipops, orange juice and the list goes on. But there are healthy foods there too. Look out for my shop. - Pranay

Charlie’s Sweet Emporium is amazing. The staff are really great and if you go there then definitely try the Pick and Mix, though they also sell tons of other absolutely amazing sweets. Basically if you go to Brighton you definitely need to visit Charlie’s Sweet Emporium. So just go there as it’s just great and it’s a sweet shop so, yeah, what are you waiting for? - Maya

Choccywoccydoodah
The chocolate shop sells beautifully made chocolate lollies, dogs, cats, houses and hearts. There are many sizes and shapes of animals, from 6 inches to 2 feet. They are very life-like but their faces are more cartoonish. If you touch them, they feel like ceramic, but they are 100% edible! Prices range from about £7 to over £40! Everything inside is beautiful chocolate decadence.

Lovely chocolate, delicious! Unique, great window displays. This chocolate shop is very yummy and quite pricey. Rating: 5 stars. Money: Loads, £5 pocket money. As you can see it is quite expensive! But it is way worth it! From my point of view, Choccywoccydoodah is a rare treat sort of place.

Come to Choccywoccydoodah and you won’t want to leave. It has a café on the top floor and a shop to buy all sorts of candy! You can also book a cake- making session with a member of staff. Plus you can buy whole cakes! In Choccywoccydoodah they sell everything, from lollipops to wedding cakes. It’s a real five - star place. - Darcey
Choccywoccydoodah is a chocolate, cake and café- style shop in the Brighton lanes and it has just about the best name on Earth! It does wedding cakes, fancy Belgian chocolates and milkshakes. The last time I went to this shop there was a fantastic three-tier wedding cake with two skeletons, roses and a banner saying ‘till death do us part’ on it. It had white icing and the roses were so red on it. It just looked amazing.

Kemptown Bookshop is a magical gateway to a world of books, selling teen, children and adult fiction and non-fiction. They also sell badges, perfect for bookworms – well actually the shop is perfect for all bookdragons. It’s a very amazing portal so if you love books then make sure you go there on your trip. You’ll definitely end up with less pocket money when you leave the shop. Money: mediumish. - Maya

My favourite shop is Lawrence Art Supplies. They do all sorts of art tools but it is quite expensive!
They do paintbrushes, canvases, pottery and a lot more. My favourite thing to do in this shop is to look at all the different sized paintbrushes and all the different colours of paint. I also like looking at all the pottery. It also sells specialist equipment like gold leaf and canvas. You can also get big letters to decorate and put somewhere. Great restaurant and sells awesome food. They serve chicken nuggets with chips, coke, water to drink. The food is delicious. They have paper to do drawing with your kids while they wait so they don’t get bored.
KFC is an amazing chicken place in Brighton because last time I went there I had a milkshake with actual sweets in the milkshake. If you are a milkshake fan, go to KFC and get a Krusher because that’s what it’s called. There are three types: Oreo, Malteaser, and Skittles.

I like to go to Nando’s because it is a nice place. I like the food because it smells nice as well. There is a lot of red and black in the shop and I like the Coca Cola with ice because when there’s something hot I can drink it. My mum forces me to eat the spicy chicken and I don’t like it that much.

Nando’s is a very creative restaurant. Its chicken is formed very nicely with spices like paprika, peri-peri sauce and so on. The owner of Nando’s is Portuguese and he follows his grandmother’s recipes. He started to do different recipes and desserts.

Central Brighton SEA LIFE MARINE PARADE, BRIGHTON, BN2 1TB
The Sea Life Centre is next to Brighton Pier and near the Brighton Pavilion. The entrance of the Sea Life Centre is very open and when you walk in you see the desk where you get your tickets. The Centre was the first aquarium to be built in Europe. It was built in the Victorian era and used to have a Dolphinarium in it, but now that is where the sharks and two turtles live. The turtles are brother and sister and were brought to Brighton by an advertising agency, and Lulu is the oldest turtle in Britain! There are lots more amazing facts about all of the fish and animals there, and the staff are very helpful - you can have great conversations with them.
The aquarium is large and quite old- fashioned, with colourful lights shining upwards onto the ceiling, which makes it feel quite pretty and mystical. So it is definitely worth a visit, and I would give it a 10/10! - Rosie S

i360
The i360 is one of the best things in Brighton because it gives you a whole view of Brighton and Hove. It glows in the dark, protects us from lightning and it looks very ‘futury’.

The i360 is a big, tall ride and building. For a child, the price is £7.50, and for an adult the price is £15.

BEST THING IN BRIGHTON
It was made in the summer of 2016. At the opening of the i360, there was a beautiful display of fireworks and sparklers and the i360 glowed red, pink, blue, light turquoise and orange. Inside, the floor is slanted and lit by a blue neon light and passengers can look outside and admire the view of the city whilst holding onto the rails (especially children). The i360 is a one-of-a-kind observation tower and is the star attraction of Brighton. At night you can see the streetlights of Brighton and Hove and in the day you can see the Pepper Pot, the Pavilion, beach huts and lots of sea! In my opinion, at night it is better! - Mark

I love the beach because on a sunny day, all the pebbles are hot. I also love climbing the rocks and getting splashed with the water. A bad thing about the beach is that sometimes if you are swimming or playing in the sea, there might be some glass or something sharp so you might cut your feet. I think that anyone who goes to the beach will love it. In some parts of the beach there are patches of sand but it is mostly pebbles. The beach is unique because of all its pebbles. There are about one million pebbles there. I live near Rottingdean beach but there is one in Kemp Town and one near Hove. The smell of the salt water is amazing. It is so salty, especially when it’s raining. If you go to the beach on a sunny, hot day it is very busy, but if you go on a cold rainy day it will be empty and you will be able to watch the waves splash against the wall by yourself. Although it sounds like it is not nice when it’s raining, it is really amazing. If you’ve got an umbrella, some waterproof trousers and a warm, waterproof coat, you will have the best time of your life. - Awen

The beach huts are very good. A beach hut is a small hut by the beach where you can put all your buckets and spades and things. Brighton does not have sand, only pebbles. There is a rule about beach huts that you have to paint the back red and blue. If you want an icecream or a tea or a coffee then the café is best. In the café there is a toilet around the side in case you need it. If you are looking forward to building sandcastles, then there is no sand until the tide goes out. - Rosie M
If you want to visit brilliant Brighton, make sure you visit the seafront park. In the summer you get to see the brilliant outdoor paddling pool. In the autumn you can get your scooters out and use the paddling pool as a scooter ramp. There is a huge sandpit and it’s lots of fun. There is also a spider web you can climb on. Before you go please buy an ice-cream and play a game of table tennis. Top tip: if you don’t have a bucket and spade, other people might leave theirs behind! - Keira

When the tide is out, Rottingdean is the perfect place to go rock pooling where you are likely to spot starfish, sea anemones to name a few. On the day after a storm it’s the perfect chance to go on a scavenger hunt and find debris and treasures among the pebbles. Rating 4/5. - Maya

Go up and choose your fave restaurant. Also, here’s a fact for Brighton Marina. Did you know that the Marina is also a place for ships and boats? I have been there. Play, Go, Do Brighton Festival has a different guest director every year, and past directors include Kate Tempest and Laurie Anderson. Each director brings something different to the festival. Brighton Fringe is more independent and has many more events including a whole children’s section.
Parades and festivals are great, and in Brighton there are absolutely tons... Let’s start with some of my favourite festivals: In May we have two main festivals – Brighton Festival and Brighton Fringe.
Don’t miss the children’s parade! It is always filled with costumes and creations made of willow and paper. One year I went as a Dalek. - Maya

Queen’s Park is the best park for children and dogs. In the park there are swings, ice- cream shops, and a train. There is a gate leading to a pond full of ducks and geese. You can sit down and have a drink and also feed the ducks and geese, they will love it. About 50 people go there every day. You can skate, run around, and play ball games. You get the bus, number 18, at Churchill Square. It’s named after the Queen. - George

Hove Park is a really good park if you have a bike or roller skates. There is a giant rock which you can climb and you can just sit up there if you want to. When you’re there you can play tennis and basketball. When I went there I had my scooter and I tried to go down the hill but I fell off, so if you go down the hill with a scooter have caution that you might fall off. And don’t forget to bring a bottle of water. PS. If you climb on the rock you might get stuck. - Bruno

I’ve been to Easthill Park many times, and me and my brother make up many different games.
Here’s one: Rapunzel. You need three or more players to enjoy this. Here’s how to play. There’s a castle in Easthill so go there. You need one witch, one Rapunzel and one prince. Your scarf can be Rapunzel’s hair, then you have fun playing Rapunzel’s game! There are also horses on a farm you can see and a poppy wreath. Have a blast at Easthill Park! - Megan

What you will see in this exquisite park is big space with no equipment which enables you to fly a kite and do many other things. If you don’t have games you can open the gate and walk peacefully or feed the ducks. You can go there by bus or car. The bus number is 8. I hope you enjoy your time there - Matilda
Stanmer Park has a lot of greenery and it is good for a short walk or picnic. There have been deer sightings though I can’t promise anything as it’s very rare. There are also good climbing trees. - Maya
Devil’s Dyke is a great place to go for walks among the weirdly shaped dyke from which it gets its name. There are lots of cattle grazing so be careful if you’re with your dogs. Overall a good place for walks, from all-day hikes to a quick stroll. Rating 5/5. - Maya
The Downs have beautiful sunsets and you can see little villages and churches and you can go hanggliding. And you can go on a walk in the wood with the dog and maybe stop for an ice-cream. The warm wind breeze blows in my face, as a beautiful raven clangs together with a woodpecker. Recommended walks If it is a windy day, head down to the undercliff path between Brighton Marina and Saltdean point. When you walk along, the waves will crash against the wall and may cover you in a fine sea spray. As you round the corners, there is a light mist that covers the path until you come to the Ovingdean cafĂŠ. Here you can sit and get a hot chocolate. After your hot chocolate, the sun will shine as you decide to head home. - Dylan
Walking from Brighton Racecourse hill to Stanmer Park it will take you about an hour, and in the car it will take about 16 minutes from Whitehawk. At Stanmer Park, there are footie games, space for Frisbee throwing and a nice warm, big house called Stanmer House. I like to sense the fresh trees in the breeze and look at the long twigs. Some leaves are fresh, light and green, some leaves

The Odeon has eight screens. You can get snacks but make sure you turn off your phone, iPad or whatever you have before the film starts. You can get popcorn, sweets, Fruit Shoots. I like the Candykings.
I would recommend sitting at the back because you’re higher and you get the best view. But remember it’s good when you’re tall but there will be loads of heads to see over. If you’re short I recommend sitting at the front where you can see the screen better. If you’re not too big, not too small, go to the middle. - Max

Some films are for everyone, and some are for adults 18 years and over. What they have to do to choose the films is ask the manager if it is a good one, and if not, somebody else chooses. The first films shown were only in black and white and they had no volume!

At Cineworld, they told us some things about what happens when something goes wrong behind the scenes. When a fire alarm goes off, they evacuate the building. If a screen gets damaged, they move you to a new screen that’s showing the same film. If a projector blinks, they turn it on and off again and move you to another screen if necessary. If a ticket machine jams, they check if the roll of paper is wrinkled.
3D glasses work by filtering out different images flickering from one place to another very fast. If one frame were projected to the left side of the screen, the next one would be projected to the right. So if you take the glasses off, you get an overlapping image because it flickers so fast. The glasses filter out the images that should go to the left and the right lens, which projects a 3D image so your left and right eye

The Cineworld was built between 1990-95 and now is one of the leading cinema groups in the country. Brighton Cineworld has eight screens and shows over 200 films a week. Forty-five films are screened a day, and in the school holidays, approximately 250 films are screened! - Dolcie & Chanel
Cineworld is a huge cinema. There are really cool films there. I like it because there is a really big screen. When I watched one of the films I felt the atmosphere and I saw the awesomeness. I like to eat sweet popcorn and I have a flavoured Capri-Sun like blackcurrant or normal Capri-Sun and Magic Stars. They have this box called the Munchbox which has it all in there. You have to wait for the adverts – if you’re asking how many then I think about 10!

Pokemon The very best thing about Brighton and life is Pokemon!
Did you know that you could find different Pokémon in different countries because they are based on their local animals? I have caught 50 Mr Mimes. So if you come to Brighton I can be your friend.
Sometimes you can catch a Pokémon, and if you are lucky you could catch a Mr Mime. Even though it was made in Japan, Pokémon is very popular in Brighton. I had a great time in Queen’s Park when I met three Charmanders, 1 Magma, and a Charizard, but I couldn’t catch it before it ran away.
The beach near Brighton Pier is a good place to catch all the water Pokémon: Starmie, Staryu, Psyduck, Golduck, Magikarp all over the Pier. Hove Park near Toys R Us you’ll find Growlithe. Instructions: Load app on phone. Sign into your account. Get ready to go! - Akshay

Sport Cycling (all over town)
I recommend cycling because it’s a good way to exercise and have fresh air, especially in Brighton.
The best place to cycle is at the cycle lane next to the seafront. If you’re hungry or thirsty I think the best place the best place to have a drink is when you enter on the Pier is the Waffles because it’s delicious. - Johnny

www.brightontabletennisclub.co.uk Brighton Table Tennis Club is located in Kemptown. I came across it when my Dad attempted to find a sports club near my house. My first time at the club was great; everyone was really welcoming and that was two years ago at BYC. Now the training is much more intense when you’re in the elite group. Recently the elites were sponsored by Topspin Sports, a big brand in table tennis. We received a free bat and two shirts with our name on the back. Not long ago a group of players went on a trip to Eslov in Sweden. We got trained by a former Olympic coach and met a lot of high-ranked players. We stayed there for five days.
We train at the club and do physical to prepare for tournaments. We go to tournaments to get higher in the rankings. They usually are really far like London or even Blackpool! About one week ago the club celebrated its 10- year anniversary and we even broke a world record! I think I’ll still keep going to the club as it keeps evolving and grows bigger. I recommend going if you’re a massive fan and always wanted to learn how to play, or you’re a person who wants to get fit, make some new friends, or trying to find a sport that you enjoy. You never know, you just might like it! What are you waiting for? Get out there and play! - Tom

I really like the ice rink by Brighton Pavilion just because I like iceskating. I also like it because it’s much longer than any other ice rink I’ve been to. In some ice rinks, they have whales to hold onto. In Brighton they have penguins! It’s £10 for a child and £20 for an adult. I recommend you visit the ice rink at Christmas.

Hollywood Bowl is a brilliant place to go when it is raining. There are all sorts of things to do, including bowling, games and so much more. There is even an arcade inside! Top tip: use the green balls.

Bowling in the Marina is very fun, but expensive. When you’re there you hear bowling balls hitting hard wood. You can eat there. There is also an arcade there. Warning: it is very big and there is a 7/10 chance you will get lost. I recommend you go there. - Johnny
It is really fun because there are amazing chicken nuggets and chicken. It’s the best activity to me. - Oliwier
If you’re bored of empty swimming pools, I have the perfect swimming pool for you. At Hove Lagoon you can celebrate on the beach, go surf boarding, paddling and sailing on a boat. There’s even changing rooms for girls and boys, and a café. - Leyla
Do you like splashing around? Well come to the Hove Lagoon and you will have a splashtastic time. There is so much to do at the Hove Lagoon. In the summer you can go in the lumpy and bumpy paddling pool and go in the sea. One of the best things is the skate park. Make sure you bring your scooter or skate boards.

Get Your Skates On (GYSO) Roller Disco
There is a café that sells ice-cream, hot dogs and much more. There are also water sports, like paddle boarding, sailing, windsurfing and many more.

Top tip: don’t forget your shoes or your feet might get wet from all the stones.
If you want to pull off some epic moves on the dance floor while racing with your friends, then roller disco is the perfect place for you. There’s crazy lights and booming loud music.
Helpful hint: try not to get run over by a bike in front of the seaside.
In case you need a rest just finish the lap and rest at the side where you can hire roller skates and change shoes. Top tip: because of the lights and music, roller disco is a bad place to learn roller skating.

If you like skate parks you should go to Hove Lagoon, but remember to bring your skate board, bike or scooter. The best time to go is in the morning.

Three words to describe Sky High – bouncing, exciting, fun.
Sky High Trampoline Park

I think you should go to Sky High because if you like trampolining then you will like it, and it is cheap and it’s in Peacehaven. You can drive or get a bus. If you get a bus you just have to ask the bus driver where to get off and if you drive you have to get a Sat Nav and all that stuff. It’s fun and exciting. - Leah
The trampoline park is a brilliant place to when it’s cold outside. It’s a lot of fun and you get to do awesome flips and other things. It’s got a café and it’s got a lot of snacks. You get quite a long period there. Some famous YouTubers go there and do 24-hour challenges. You get very energetic and in the mood. - Seb

It’s very fun and it’s very good exercise, and they have a board that you can strap your shoes on. Even the walls are made of trampoline. It is very safe and they have a basketball and it’s all on a trampoline - but don’t forget to bring money.
Go-Karting TEAMSPORT BRIGHTON, UNIT 2, 30 CHARTWELL ROAD, LANCING BUSINESS PARK, BN15 8TU
I really do recommend go-karting in Lancing because it is very fun and you can get a professional go-karting suit. The only bad thing about it is that it is very expensive - the price is roughly around £75. It feels like wind striking at you, and when you drive down the hill your tummy goes and it feels very nice. If you are over 12 you get to go into an adult’s go-kart. It is very secure and if you crash you drive into soft rubber tyres.

The Triangle TRIANGLE WAY, BURGESS HILL, RH15 8WA
If you’re getting a bit hot in the summer go to the Triangle and you will be so much cooler.
If you like going swimming, the Triangle is definitely the place for you.
If you love swimming then come to the Triangle. It is the best place I know. I really like the hot-tub and there’s a time when they make the pool like it has waves. There’s also a swirlpool - yay! - Grace
The building is so big and there are slides that you can go on but you have to be the right height (which is annoying). At the Triangle there is a little pool and a big pool, there’s loads of different types. - Brooke

Nora Gacheva has three little pet birds. She loves to eat pasta with Bulgarian cheese, the colour turquoise and she want to be an inventor of toys when she’s older.
Darcey Bradfield is 10. The most exciting thing in her day is when Mr. Baker gives my really annoying partner a detention!
Evie Hill is 9 years old and likes drawing trees and singing songs – sometimes she makes them up. She’s in a band with Poppy called Nameless.
Khushi Choudhari is 11 and loves dance and drama. Her favourite foods are Mexican, Italian and Indian. Her favourite sports are swimming, running, dancing, basketball, skipping and jumping.
Dylan Keen lives in Whitehawk and hangs out nowhere in particular. He loves to eat sushi and when he grows up, he would like to be a company CEO.
Ethan Dawson has lived in Whitehawk all his life and likes hanging out at Blue Park. He loves the colour yellow, eating pizza and pickle and egg sandwiches and going to McDonalds in town.
Jasmine Kirkus Hislop has a cat called Taven and her favourite author is J K Rowling. She loves all the colours of the rainbow. She used to go to karate but left when she was an orange belt.
Missie Deadman lives in Whitehawk and loves to eat popcorn with a slushy when she goes to the cinema. She also loves running and want to win a competition when she’s older.
Willow Kirkus Hislop lives in Whitehawk. She sometimes eats at MOD, a pizza restaurant in the Marina. She likes going swimming at the Prince Regent.
Regan Deadman lives in Whitehawk and her favourite place to go in Brighton is the Pier. She likes to eat roast dinners, the colour purple and she loves dogs.
Kayleigh Law is 9 and has lived in Whitehawk all her life. She likes to eat at McDonalds, she has six pets and is ambidextrous, but always plays football with her left foot.
Mark Fransisco comes from Manila in the Philippines and is 10. He used to have a pet chick called Black Squid. His best place to go in Brighton is the Hollywood Bowl.
Paula Leathers has four sisters and one brother. Her favourite place in Brighton is McDonalds because of the yummy food like burgers.

Levi Miller-Vega is 9 and likes to eat pizza, especially with mozzarella and pepperoni and playing basketball and football. His favourite toy is Pikachu.
Dolcie Underwood’s favourite place in Brighton is Sky High. She would like to be a nurse when she grows up, but maybe a dancing nurse and marry Cruz Beckham!
Maya Miller-Vega is I am 11, almost 12 years old. She is homeschooled, the oldest of five, and half Chilean (Google if you don’t know where it is).
Awen Williams has lived in Ovingdean all her life. Her favourite food is fish and chips and she likes going to the Prince Regent swimming pool, the beach and eating cucumber like a banana!
Tom Nguyen is 12 years old and was born in Vietnam. He has jumped off a 5 metre board, survived a bee attack, won a London Table Tennis tournament and passed his SATs. Chanel Openshaw loves going Hollywood Bowl and the Katerina restaurant in the Marina. She has a hamster called Nugget and her favourite food is tomato soup (it’s a weird favourite food). Aphra Randall likes camping and going to Brighton beach. She has three sisters and one brother and likes passion fruit.
