SOUTHERN TIDE
Huntersville, NC / 1,500 sf
Elevating a brand’s mission
Southern Tide, a well-known coastal lifestyle brand, successfully entered the Charlotte, NC market by optimizing an available space at Birkdale Village mixed-use development. Overcoming initial challenges, the design team enhanced the store entrance, making it more visible from the streetscape and addressing accessibility issues. Additionally, the team effectively managed the complexities associated with having residential units situated above the store.
THE SPICE HOUSE
Naperville, IL / 1600 sf
A multi-sensory retail experience
This newest location of The Spice House is a multi-sensory retail experience. Inspired by markets and apothecaries of the past, the overall aesthetic blends warm and cool tones to create a calming, neutral environment, perfect for discovering culinary possibilities. A central checkout anchors the store, welcoming customers and serving as a space for product demonstrations and recipe curation.
SHINOLA
Los Angeles, CA / 4,484 sf
Celebrating craftsmanship in the heart of the Los Angeles Arts District
Shinola has built a brand that celebrates craftsmanship and carries out a mission to create jobs and employ skilled American labor. Our creative design team prioritized the brand’s ethos when transforming this space in a 1915 warehouse and made sure it could be felt by consumers in the finished experience. Along with the retail store, the space also houses a cafe and a “speakeasy” tattoo salon. The resulting design has allowed for each of the use components to coexist seamlessly, while establishing distinctly different identities and customer experiences.

CHELSEA GROTON BANK
Groton, CT / 2,169 sf
Transcending the transaction to provide a flexible space of financial well-being that ‘un-banks-the-bank’
Chelsea Groton had a vision to redefine all that a bank can be and do for people, businesses and communities. Integrating key elements from hospitality design, this space focuses less on teller transactions and more on learning, connecting, knowledge-sharing and creating a sense of community. Members enjoy the Knowledge Bar, peruse the Knowledge Library for more in-depth research needs, borrow a book to read/share or even attend a class on anything from savings plans to CPR.
BUNULU
Estero, FL / 5,000 sf
A unique, soulful and comfortable approach to style
When Florida retailer Beall’s wanted to launch a new brand to coincide with its 100-year anniversary, Bunulu was born. Our team worked with the client to create the brand strategy and identity for Bunulu - a name derived from the aboriginal word for “place of water. The overall look and feel of the store supports Bunulu’s commitment to coastal lifestyle enthusiasts who expect a unique, soulful and comfortable approach to style.
LILLY PULITZER
Huntersville, NC / 1,600 sf
Expanding Southern Roots
This space is crafted to showcase Lilly Pulitzer’s vibrant brand, emphasizing casual glamour and joyful spirit. Positioned beside sibling store Southern Tide at Birkdale Village, the design integrates Lilly Pulitzer’s signature elements into the existing space and expands the storefront for additional square footage and better visibility. The team also addressed accessibility challenges at the entrance.
LUCKY BRAND JEANS
Palm Desert, CA / 2,300 sf
Recognizing vintage inspired roots
The Lucky Brand core brand attributes - Spirit, Freshness, Americana, Nostalgia and Freedom further evolved through the opening of their store in Palm Desert. While the Lucky Brand Jeans store design is dynamic and differs from location to location, it prompts a consistent emotional response from their customer and allows the Lucky experience to remain fresh.
BEAUFORT BONNET
Sandestin, FL / 2,500 sf
A timeless flagship concept
The Beaufort Bonnet Company is a southern style baby and children’s apparel brand with a mission to encourage families to embrace this time of childhood and make memories sweeter. By merging traditional apparel design with bold and surprising patterns and colors, Little was able to translate the brand’s unique visual language into a boutique store. Signature elements like soft pink French awnings, classic custom millwork, beautifully curated patterned seating, and a special children’s play area reflect not only the brand but a unique fashion point of view into an immersive environment celebrating childhood.
WREN KITCHEN
Allentown, PA / 21,000 sf
Building a presence in the U.S.
As the UK’s top kitchen retailer, Wren Kitchen wanted to expand its reach to customers in the U.S. Helping shoppers to visualize their dream kitchen, this showroom is an adaptation of the current prototype and features 41 full kitchen displays and 17 VR planning suites.
DAVIDSON CAMPUS STORE
Davidson, NC / 6,000 sf
Elevating school pride while creating an improved shopping experience
The first impression for visitors, particularly those considering attending Davidson College, is derived from their arrival on Main Street. The College embraced this opportunity by acquiring an existing, two-story building perfectly positioned for its new campus store. Our strategy focused on bringing the visual excitement of well-known branded retail to a collegiate setting and merchandising a broad product array in a setting that projects the values and spirit of Davidson College.
NAUTICA PREMIUM OUTLET
Cypress, TX / 6,500 sf
Reinventing the outlet store concept to support an updated brand
With an updated brand and a renewed focus on its core customer, Nautica partnered with our design team to reinvent its outlet store concept. The store embraces a new shopping experience consistent with the growth of the company and features an updated merchandise style direction. The design incorporates graphic elements and objects based on an authentic coastal lifestyle that are supported by a sophisticated palette of soft wood tones and warm grays, with minimal additional cost to their previous fit-out budget.
CAMP
Dunwoody, GA / 14,000 sf
Fusing a modern-day toy store with immersive adventures
As a former La-Z-Boy retail store, this CAMP store is designed to inspire and engage families by seamlessly blending product and play.
The space features a large retail area and multiple engagement zones where children and their families can shop and participate in handson activities. From arts and crafts to games, puzzles, and even a customizable slime bar, every inch of the space exudes the whimsical, imaginative spirit of the brand.
FARROW & BALL
Dallas, TX / 6,000 sf
An adaptive reuse of an existing warehouse
Supporting the retailer’s commitment to the environment, Little partnered with Farrow & Ball on this adaptive reuse of an existing warehouse to create a space that is more than just a store and showroom for the Dallas Design District Community. Designed with flexibility in mind and with in-field fixtures equipped with casters to allow adaptation of the space , the renovated store can be easily transformed for events and learning seminars that meet the needs of the surrounding design community.
FIRST CITIZENS BANK
Mission Viejo, CA / 10,492 sf
Creating a west coast presence
Headquartered in North Carolina, First Citizens challenged our team to create a new branch concept with local flair. The design is influenced by the missions that were historically built in Southern California and utilizes a tower element that allows the bank, located in the back of a shopping center, to have visibility.
AIR CONCEPT
Portable Pop-Up Park
Bringing people together through real, authentic, local experiences
This portable pop-up park provides a sense of place and purpose for vacant property ready for redevelopment. Whether set up for a week or six months, this “kit of parts” environment invites local retailers, makers, farmers, entertainers and community groups to breathe life into a retail experience that meets people’s desire for freshness and being together.
