CONTENTS PROLOGUE
The theme of the collection is expansion and rebirth. think cities and buildings are a collection of all kinds of historical event information. When buildings and cities get new event information to a critical point, they will expand or deform, and need to produce a new form to adapt. These events and information are not entirely artificial, just like the state of the universe expanding, it happens naturally.
In the past 100 years of China's development, Chinese society has experienced several social and economic structural adjustments. The new order has been established, and the old order has partially or completely disappeared. China has gradually become a country dominated by the tertiary industry from a small-scale peasant economy society. At the moment of this change in society, there will be physical reflection in the city, architecture and space. The embodiment of this spontaneous historical law in urban architecture chaos contains the potential of space and form.
I am very interested in this spontaneous chaotic process, so the collection focuses on this spontaneous time and their architectural or urban space and formal potential. On the one hand, the old form space will tell the story and experience of your life in this space, and the new form will interact with the old form before the expansion, or it will not be connected with the old space at all, and a new order will be established again.

With the construction of high-speed railway, the old Beijing Zhangjiakou Railway, located between the center of Zhangjiakou and the South Railway Station, will withdraw from the historical stage.
As a high-speed railway station, Zhangjiakou South Railway Station will drive the construction of surrounding areas and become the engine of the southward development of Zhangjiakou master plan. In addition, the 2022 Winter Olympic Games will promote and drive the tourism industry in Zhangjiakou. As an Olympic city and an international leisure and sports tourism area, Zhangjiakou will further make use of its environmental location advantages to build a tourism brand and improve the quality of urban life.
Under the above two major opportunities, Zhangjiakou high-speed railway station, as a tourism transit station, connects the two major transportation infrastructures currently under construction. Combined with the previous analysis of opportunities and advantages, for the new high-speed rail city close to the tourism transit station, it is suitable to develop into a new tourism city.

Optimizing urban structure
1. The current road network density is low, and some streets are more than 500 meters long, which is very unfriendly to walking.
2. The whole plot to the south of the South Railway Station is under development. There are many public green spaces outside the city and few public green space resources in the city.
3.There are few commercial facilities in the city, which is not very convenient.
Location analysis Project background analysis
Population prediction adopts the method of combining national norms with similar cases. Compared with Jiaxing station, Anshun west station and other stations, the per capita land area is determined to be 104 square meters. According to the calculation, the permanent population of the plot is 39400, the tourism and other short-term floating population is 7500, and the actual service population is 46900.Similarly, use the same method to get the land scale.

3. After benchmarking, the positioning of the future high-speed rail new town can be predicted. Under the condition of integrating the high-speed rail station and the future development of Nancheng, there is an opportunity to develop into a small Hetao street in Nancheng and become a city level commercial complex, serving 40000-50000 people.

Method of reading left figure [After we get the service radius of POI, because each service facility adopts different means of transportation, nach1000 corresponds to walking, nach3000 corresponds to bicycles, and nain1000 corresponds to cars. Therefore, the most appropriate parameter diagram will be selected first and expressed in different colors.
The yellow line indicates the largest flow of people and vehicles, that is, it is the most suitable place for the commercial facility. The second is green, the second is blue, and the least flow is purple, which means that it is the most unsuitable to settle.]

Retail and hotel location analysis
Commercial building and resturant location analysis
1. In the first project NACH and Nain, there are five types of business: office building, retail, hotel, commercial building and restaurant. From the perspective of correlation degree, office building has the highest correlation with car dealers, so NAIN10000 is selected; retail building has the highest correlation with non-motor vehicles, so NACH3000 is selected, and hotel has the highest correlation with walking. Hence the choice of NACH1500.
4.3.3.2 Spatial layout of cultural industry
According to the main reference traffic mode, the street with the most people flow or traffic flow is arranged, and then based on other secondary traffic modes, the layout of each function is arranged.

The 100-150m road network is superimposed on the regulatory plan to break through the original planning structure and create a highdensity urban traffic system suitable for walking.
Urban square system
Break the centralized green layout of the old city, form a series of urban public living rooms, provide the space for travel festivals and activities and create a variety of pedestrian space.
5.2 Concept deepening based on micro Tourism

Distribution of green squares
1.The green square is mainly covered on three axes.
2.Greenland square is also covered near micro tourism attractions and residential areas
As the new city is built for the 2022 Winter Olympics, the ice and snow sports industry will become the core space layout of the new city. Therefore, the central axis is designed with an overall stadium.
There used to be an open-air Sports Square , which is very popular with the citizens. However, due to the demolition, we designed a new openair gymnasium to return the original square to the residents.

Beijing-zhangjiakou Railway Site Park
Revitalize the city by building a park on an abandoned railway line
Location:Beijing,China
Area:4 hectares
Academica Project in senior year Group Work
With the Winter Olympics coming, the Beijing -Zhangjiakou Railway in Beijing is no longer responsible for freight transport and has become an industral historical site of the city.Accordingly, citizens and the government proposed to turn the historic property into a modern railway park. The project selects a one-kilometer section of zhichun Road light station to the north.Construction of the railway began in 1900, and a freight branch line was added in the middle of the project section in 1960.Finally,the bullet train was moved under the original railway and the original railway was abandoned. in 2020. The design hopes to commemorate the events of Beijing-Zhangjiakou Railway based on three important historical time nodes.
Node concept generation
In 1909, it was mainly a pedestrian network, when the land was mainly large fields.
In 1960 the fields were transferred to the countryside, where new worker communities were created to facilitate access to nearby industrial plants, creating a denser road network, and creating non-motorized driveways
In 2020, the functions of the railway were transferred to the underground highspeed railway, and the overground railway was transformed into a park, resulting in a green landscape road, while the original pedestrian road became a car road
The buildings on the right side of the railway park are redesigned according to the different radii of the TOD. The layout is completely according to the use situation in 2020, and the commercial plaza is arranged within 200 meters of the radius
Arrange high-tech entrepreneurship Industrial Park within 600m radius
Youth apartments supporting the entrepreneurship Industrial Park are arranged within a radius of 1000m.
R=1000m
R=600m R=200m
In 2020, the function of the railway was replaced by the park, forming a park site for surrounding residents
In 1960, most of the transportation tower cranes and containers were near the railway
In 1909, the land was mainly farmland, so the landscape was divided into gardens based on agricultural texture
There are obvious changes at the three boundaries of the block, and three blocks with characteristics of the times are cut out.
Special urban design nodes shall be adopted at three boundaries Go deep into the three demarcation points through greening to strengthen the sense of demarcation

Rethinking on urban complex under global epidemic situation
Location: Beijing, China
Area: Academic Project in senior year personal work
This new urban complex is located next to the Beijing Zhangjiakou Railway park. On an open space to be renovated, it is mostly surrounded by schools and residential areas. There is a lack of green space around it. After the global epidemic in 2020, most urban complexes will stop operating and become a lonely island in the city.
With the increasing alienation of urban and rural functions, cities are more service-oriented, followed by industry, and rural areas are mainly agriculture. In this epidemic, the functions that cities currently only carry cannot meet people's living needs, and many people cannot get sufficient food sources. Therefore, I hope that the new comprehensive physical fitness will balance and integrate the functions of cities and villages in the future.
1.Design Concept 2.Site design
1.1Analysis of current cultivated land in
Beijing
With the development of urbanization, the area of cultivated land in Beijing has decreased continuously for ten years. With global warming and geopolitical problems, there will be a food crisis this year and in the future. At the same time, scholars and architects put forward the concept of threedimensional greening and put it into practice
1.2Concept generation of grain reserve base station
In order to solve the problem of small cultivated land and food, a tower similar to the municipal infrastructure is designed, just like the street lamp in the city. This tower is built near the rail transit station to facilitate the transportation of food. Taking a piece of land on Beijing Zhangjiakou Railway as an example, the tower has comprehensive functions, including the internal and external logistics system, scientific research office system, planting system, commercial sales system and residential complex to address this problem.
1. The left pedestrian street is continuous
2.Continuous North Main Road 3.Continue the Beijing Zhangjiakou Railway axis
5.Combine the original road of the site to generate streamline 6.Elevation difference of treatment site
4.Add new branch
7.Combine the road network to form four blocks 8.Function positioning according to TOD theory
Site design is actually very important in the overall design, because the elevation difference of the project site is relatively complex, so the first thing is to plan the road network and the park, design the entire transportation system, and connect different plots in combination with the terrain with different elevation differences. The plot is divided on the basis of the road network, and the functional location radiates outward from the station according to the TOD theory, including the commercial area, the business office area and the residential hotel area.

The overall idea of the base design is, first of all, to give ground to the people and attract people through the courtyard to take a walk and relax.
Secondly, weaken the boundary by softening the edge of the building, expand the entrance by connecting the entrance and the atrium, and deal with the four sides of the entrance in the same way. After doing this, each floor will form a atrium with different spaces, and produce a huge lawn leading to the base roof.

West Beijing Rice Canteen
Innovative transformation of local traditional wooden structures to form new cultural symbols
Location:Beijing,China
Area:4 hectares
Academica Project in senior year Group Work
This project is a cooperative project between our school and eth to study the form of strong structures in buildings. The project is located in liulangzhuang, Beijing, China. The hut in the early rice field is a place for farmers to chat and rest in their spare time. The size of the hut is closely related to the way people use it. Accordingly, the design plans to build a Beijing West rice canteen for daily meals and public activities for the surrounding residents in the rice field landscape.
And then put forward the critical question: can we jump out of the common homogeneous frame structure and define human use activities with differentiated structural units?
The design first determines the formal motif characterized by wooden frame and pitched roof according to the intention of the shed, and then derives three structural units, which match the number of users and functional types, that is, two people's space is used for private dining, four to six people's space is used for entrance, meal preparation and bar, and ten or more people are used for centralized dining and public activities (including seedling opening Festival, threshing Festival, porridge Drinking Festival, etc.), Then according to the use of streamline, the three structural units are copied, combined and deformed, interwoven with the rice landscape, and expanded to form the final building. The profile of the roof truss formed by three types of structural units fluctuates continuously, light or heavy, light or dark, and melts into the rice waves, which inspires people's imagination of the former ridge hut.
