ANNUAL REPORT

OUR MISSIONS

LONG ISLAND’S PREMIER PLATFORM FOR NATIONAL SECURITY AND GLOBAL LEADERS Since our founding, the Institute has welcomed visionary global leaders to our region who have shared expertise and treasured input from their experience on the world’s stage. We are proud to have welcomed General Colin Powell, former President Bill Clinton, and General David Petraeus, as well as Members of Congress and other luminaries. Immediately following pressing crises around the world, the Institute offered next-day conference calls with world leaders (including Ambassadors and other global experts) to provide context and a fuller discussion of national security challenges. In 2018, our programs will feature former President George W. Bush, former Vice President Joe Biden, and others. Best,

General Colin L. Powell, USA, (Ret.), 65th Secretary of State (2001-2005)

OUR MEMBERS The Global Institute provides its members with access to leaders in national security and global affairs - from the convenience of the LIU Post campus in Brookville and satellites in Manhattan. Our members are corporate leaders across real estate, finance, health care, defense technology, media, energy, insurance, and other fields. Membership benefits appear on page 11.

Henry Schein is pleased to be a sponsor of the Global Institute at Long Island University, a terrific neighborhood institution that does so much to bring meaningful insights and dialogue to our region. Under Congressman Israel’s effective leadership, the Global Institute is engaging with many of today’s important thought leaders and decision makers on diverse topics ranging from climate change to leadership, which is sorely needed in our increasingly complex world. We believe it is critical as a responsible corporate citizen to lend our support to the Institute.

-Stanley M. Bergman, Chairman of the Board and CEO, Henry Schein, Inc.
