One of the largest global banks had 1,300 staff across four different buildings. The new headquarters consolidated them among eight floors. Steven Leach Group designed the space with two focuses: branding and the environment. We used brand visuals and designed around a “water” theme so that the floors have consistent design. We also increased space efficiency by adopting desk sharing. Lockers and collaboration areas helped to increase the space efficiency. Furthermore, the staff are able to enjoy the new amenities, such as spacious pantries and a gym. The office space achieved LEED Gold certification. It also has air purification system.

Introduction Project type: A high-tech conference hall Site Area: Meeting center: 226m² / 2,416 sqft Office renovation: 205m² / 2,200 sqft Year: 2014 Industry: Law firm The customer is a world leading law firm, composed a number of lawyers in partnership. The partners whish their new conference area to represent a s en s e o f s t a b l e, exq u i s i te a n d innovation, to show their business value. In order to create a conference room for international meetings, in 2014, they changed some areas of their working space into a high-tech boardroom. To suit different types of conferences, we designed a movable meeting table by using the idea of concentric circle. To adjust the size of meetings, the oval table with wheels is capable to sit 14 or 8 people.

Arbonne International, specializing in botanical-based beauty, health & wellness products, has opened a new office in Taipei, Taiwan – the company's first location in the Asia Pacific region. The interior design of the space draws inspiration from Arbonne’s core values- pure, beneficial and save, which are visually conveyed by extending elements from tree life. Utilize the shape of trunks and branches to create dialogues between customers and the brand throughout the space.

Green Wall Entrance Upon entering the space, visitors are greeted by a logo wall decorated with Norwegian moss and branch-like perforated partitions symbolising the lush growth of trees. The eye-catching green wall is decorated with plants to evoke the rich visual splendour of a forest. The floor plan uses curved lines as a guide to guide visitors and separate different spaces. Beyond circulation, the space plan also offers versatility to maximise functionality and can be used as a multipurpose area.

Introduction School Work Project type: Ecological holiday cabins Area: 110 坪 / 330m² Location: Attenborough Nature Reserve, UK Year: 2020
The project brief is to design holiday cabins for 2-4 visitors to stay in Attenborough Nature Reserve. The design proposal aims to create an interactive platform for visitors and the natural environment by integrate holiday functions, wildlife watching, natural resources and sustainable systems into the cabin to minimize the interference and damage to the natural environment.
Attenborough Nature Reserve Situated 7km south-west of Nottingham, Attenborough Natural Reserve is a beautiful complex of flooded former gravel pits and islands providing exceptional habitat for a wide range of wildlife. The reserve is best known for its birds. The area is an important site for winter wildfowl and often holds a high proportion of the county’s shoveler and diving ducks, with larger numbers of mallard, teal, and occasionally wigeon. The ponds have become the most important bird overwintering area in Nottinghamshire for shoveler and diving ducks. It holds educational features and also provides educational facilities, courses, shop, bird viewpoints, harbour and car park. 62

Design idea The open kitchen is the focal point of this cabin which connects all spaces except for the deck and the mechanical room. The design idea is to enlarge the visual experience by forming a void room. Windows are designed at both sides of the building so that natural light can throw into the spaces in a different time. This form also creates cross ventilation to let air flow fluently.

Glanvilles Wootton's Wood Art Gallery 木
Introduction School Work Project type: Adaptive Reuse Barn Site Area: 50 坪 / 165m² Location: Glanvilles Wooton, UK Year: 2020 Industry: Local Museum Glanvilles Wootton is a historic village with elderlies as the major population. The name 'Wootton' means a place with loads of trees. In the village centre, there's only a small village hall to support the residents' activites. Due to its poor connection with the nearby big cities and spots, the design thinking is to convert this barn into a highly-used social hub. By integrating the local features and senior people's preference activities, such as gardening, wood-crafting, wood engineering, painting, socializing, a multi-functional wood art gallery is given to form the identity of the village.
