VOL / I

Welcome to Livesimple Volume I Take a look through the lense of two Australian freeriders that travel the globe, capturing the raw and random moments of their missions to ride somthing new, something different. The purpose for this is to share our culture and express our art.

Some call it a kneeboard, some call it a chair. I call it the "seemed like a good idea at the time, but now regret ever riding it 'CHAIR SKI'". Word to the wise, refrain from sling-in tripple ups while seated on such a device. -Chris Glenn

Hung-over as fuck from the night before, coffee in hand. Idling out of the canal on Clear Lake at seven am for a photo shoot. Rope pulls tight while the cool wind hits your face. Hand gliding across the glass water transcending a feeling of bliss. It's always worth getting out of bed.

Butler Chain of Lakes, Orlando FL. A chain of beautiful lakes that produce golden light. Where the upper class Americans build their Mansions that remain vacant close to fifty-one weeks out of the year. The quietness and solitude of Butler is an eerie but wonderful place for shredding.

Donavon Frankenreiter comes in to town and the hippies came out to play. Surfing and Music is poetry to Donny.

WE HAVE OUR UNIQUE SKILLS, BUT WE USE THEM IN A WAY THAT WE BUILD A COLLECTIVE IDENTITY THROUGH OUR SIMILAR DIRECTIONS . RATHER THAN CONFORMING TO INSIDE THE BOX, WE LOOK OUT. HAVING AN EYE FOR DETAIL IS AN EYE FOR PERFECTION.

Dean Smith, the Ozzie sports man (he knows stats and stuff), landed a sponsorship with Axis Boats this season. Simple crew have been riding with Deano all summer. Bravo to Axis for making a boat that doesn’t have a fuckin computer in it. It’s really nice to not have to read a manual to turn the perfect pass on. Oh, and if you were wondering about the wake, it’s huge and double ups couldn’t be more perfect. As demonstrated here by Deano’s huge Wrapped Indy Three in front of Downtown Orlando’s skyline. Deano, we cheers you for your style and your boat.

Melbourne, Australia. The land of tall buildings and hectic hustle and bustle from the nine to five city life. Office people marching around in suits, and road rage flaring from tafic jam to jam. But when you look past that, it's an amazing cultural city, it is the place Chriso and I were born and bred. It definitely has a huge impact on who we are today. Two hunderd dollars got me this fine Shit Heap. My first car in America. Believe it or not, it wasn’t me that scratched this into the side, but if I thought of it myself, I would have. After a few years of unreliability and breakdowns in some of the not so nice sides of the city Beautiful, I decided it was time to trade up and move on. So I sold the Shit Heap to the Mackey's. But the story for the Accord doesn’t end here. One day while Scotty, the oldest of the two brothers, was driving, must have forgotten he wasn’t in Australia anymore and proceeded to drive this beauty on the wrong side of the road and was t-boned something fierce. The Mackey's survived, but the Accord wasn’t so lucky. R.I.P Shit Heap.
