There are some new bloodlines in the sale this year, as well as some of the great sires you have liked here before. We think you will be very impressed with the entire group. In an attempt to gather more data, we tested the sale bulls’ DNA with the American Angus Association. We drew blood on every bull in the sale then sent it in to the Association. The result is an EPD with a much higher predictability so you can buy with much more assurance as to that individual’s progeny. Angus Genetics Inc. and the American Angus Association report that the

Herd health is a high priority. Our comprehensive vaccination program emphasizes preventative medicine and wellness. Every calf born, so every animal in the sale, has been tested negative for BVD-PI. We have been testing for eight years and have never had a positive. Any potential carriers of the known genetic defects AM, NH and CA (we had no potential CA carriers) have been tested free. The heifers and bulls will all have passed a breeding soundness exam by the K-State veterinary team and will be ready to go to work. PERFORMANCE DATA Beside each animal’s pedigree is a box that includes the individual’s performance data and their Production EPDs. BW: Birth Weight (actual and EPD).
