Welcome Friends & Cattleman!

12.08.19

We need to start by thanking our customers and friends for your support of our program over the last years and beyond. That support is what keeps us pushing forward on a year as challenging as we’ve all just experienced. Merit is a family operation and we are all passionate about the industry and its future. As for the present, we continually need to adjust and respond to the challenging circumstances around us, whether that be moisture, feed resources or labour force. With all three of our children in post secondary education, we find it necessary to manage our inventory. That brings us to this sale and another tremendous opportunity to share in our genetic base that has been over thirty- five years in the making. Along with a solid, well bred group of bred heifers, we are offering ten fancy heifer calves as well as five front end young cows in choice lots with their calves. For only the second time ever, we are offering Bar S Range Boss semen for public auction. As a special feature, we are highlighting a special embryo offering from Merit Flora 6078 and her mother Merit Flora 4120. We invite you to join us for some hospitality sale day. If you can’t join us in person, we are once again offering online bidding with DLMS. Sincerely,

Trent,,Janelle, M acy, Garrett and Carson Liebreich

Ranch Tough RAISED TO MAKE SOLID,

Welcome to the Sale!

Welcome to the Females of Merit Vol 3 and as to be expected the offering is top shelf. The foundation and principles at Merit Cattle Co has always been functional cattle that serve the commercial cattle world while making females that will last the test of time. The herd is managed in a simple manner of grazing as long as possible doing the work on their own and after coming through the best part of 5 years of drought I’d say they’ve proven themselves.

If you’ve had the opportunity to visit with Trent and Janelle you will know how critical the basics are and that next genetic piece of the puzzle is oh so important. Blending the existing genetics in with the next step takes a lot of forward thinking and strategy of what the coming result will be. Not being afraid to beat their own drum when it comes to genetic selection has produced many interesting combinations over the years.

Most important and critical to every step is will it work for their customers without being afraid to drop it if it’s not delivering the expected results. Most rewarding in working with Merit Cattle Co is the feedback and results that I get to see throughout the year traveling through thousands of cattle. If we at Castlerock can be of any assistance to you regarding this program please feel welcome to give us a call! See you sale day! Shane Castle
