As in the past we can't start this sale any other way than to say thank-you to our many valued friends & customers. Most of you we met through the bull business as customers & now over the years we feel privileged to not only call you customers but to call you lifelong friends. The year here started tough with no rain through April & early May & we wondered where we were going to go with our cows. Well the good Lord seems to always provide & provide he did starting about the 25th of May with a nice rain storm & it never let up all summer. With above average rainfall for the rest of the summer & fall, the feed & grass situation turned out to be as good as we've ever seen in our lifetime. The cows grazed until December 28th which for us is wonderful & then they came home to swath graze for the month of January. This crop of bulls is as good as we can make them. They ran in one big group (51 head) all summer (May 10-Sept 20) when they were brought home & put on a pellet ration & free-choice hay. They are still on that ration today & are fed once a day. These bulls will be presented to you in good shape but they won't be carrying a lot of excess condition. They are a solid, sound set of bulls that carry a lot of pigment & we feel they can add a lot to a diverse set of programs. If you have a set of black cows & want rednecks or if you want a traditional feather neck, we think we can meet your criteria.
