The bulls are covered with a full herd health program. They have received the Zoetis vaccination program - Bovi-Shield Gold One Shot and Ultrabac Somnus at spring processing and a Bovi-Shield booster at weaning. The bulls were Ivomec’d in Novemeber and and will administer Clean Up in February.
The yearling bulls were quiet weaned in September. They developed on a brown oats, corn silage, protein supplement and hay based ration. We decided to go with a oats based diet to promote slower and healthier growth while maximizing hoof health and optimal development. The bulls are fed a TMR based ration to ensure every bull is receiving the right mix of nutrients along with a chelated Right Now and Smartlic Tub Mineral Program. We feel this will help testicle development and semen quality scores.
The ranch is a certified Verified Beef Production Plus operation. We see the value in the industry driven sustainability program as VBP+ is one of the certification bodies for the Canadian Roundtable for Sustainable Beef. As purebred breeders, we believe that it’s imperative to work to move the bar on sustainability standards and are committed to doing our part.
Terms of Sale
• All bulls available for viewing at any time.
• Bulls will be available to purchasing on or after 10:00 am February 1st, 2023.
• 50% down payment will be required to hold your bull.
• Bull will be measured and palpated by a veterinarian prior to February 1st, 2023.
• All bulls will be semen tested by May 1st, 2023. If your bull does not pass his semen test, we have held back a select group of bulls to replace them.
• Free delivery on bulls delivered at our convenience prior to May 1st, 2023 within a 250 km radius.
• Delivery will be done at a nominal cost outside that radius.
• Bulls are available to stay after the 1st of May but will be charged $100 yardage and delivery if kept after that.
• Buyers are encouraged to be insured after purchase. We will not be liable for loss or injury after purchase.

Two Year Old/Extra Age Bulls
All these bulls have been grown out slowly and sent out on grass for the summer to develop and have not been dry lotted all their life. We feel these bulls need to get out and move to truly judge foot quality. Once they were brought back in, these bulls were put on a developing and not fattening ration to further develop them. The couple 2 year old bulls on offer are not left overs, they are high quality bulls that are kept purposely to help customers in need or if we have a problem. As our fall program grows, you will see more and more fall bulls available. Remember when analyzing these bulls that these cows are asked to milk and these calves are asked to grow in some of our harshest winter so they are hardy and honest cattle. Temperament is also non negotiable in these bulls. Especially when processing them in the middle of the pasture. These calves are also weighed on pasture and these birth weights are not guesses. If you’re looking to get a few more cows bred with an extra age bull, these boys will do it.
