LONE STONE FARMS

LONE STONE FARMS Welcome

Welcome to Lone Stone Farms Invitational Female sale. This will be our 7th Invitational Female Sale. Time sure does move quickly. We run a pretty simple event. Our live sale is at our farm located in Westlock County. We are very thankful to DLMS for their efforts in broadcasting this sale all over North America, making it super easy to bid and purchase our animals. Lone Stone is also so grateful to our consignors who have stuck with us and continue to bring out their best females. We could not continue to run this sale without them. It’s been really nice to watch the cattle market this summer and fall. Finally, prices that will allow our cow calf producers the ability to pay their bills and hopefully get ahead. There is no use for us purebred breeders if there is no one raising calves. Lone Stone Farms is delighted to offer females to you out of our working herd sires. It’s truly important to us to sell females out of our top end of the heifer crop. Fortunately, our cow numbers allow us to do that and leave the quality females necessary to keep the program moving forward. Please come to our sale in person if you can. We love to host people in our sales facility. If you can’t attend on sale day, Nathan or Karen will be happy to field questions or talk to Transcon for an unbiased opinion.

100% Fleckvieh. Sire Verified. Fabulous Callahan daughter off a female that came from Dwayanne Simmentals. A cow that has perfect feet and a perfect udder. Yah, I know how many times does one read this in a catalogue. But it is the truth. She is not a cow that will jump out at you in the herd. The above two attributes rate really high on our want list, and 14F has them. There is a reason Grace 95K sits in the Lot 1 space. She is just plain good. Exposed Mar 20 – May 14 to RWR Sully 9E (#1211279) Observed bred April 3/23. Preg check safe to that date.

This female especially has width over her topline with real depth of girth and flank. Saxony 97K had a maternal great grandmother that we purchased from Wyrern Simmentals that was hands down as deep a cow as you will ever come across. So many things about Pilar 79K make me smile. The little bit of white she has gives her some distinction. Her Barbosa Dam is the cow that broke out in freckles on her face as she has aged. Wonder if that’s inheritable? This heifer caught pretty early so be prepared for her to calve in late December. She has a structurally perfect front end, that really catches my eye. 100% Fleckvieh. Sire Verified. This heifer comes from a tremendous female. An Oil Baron daughter we purchased from Brad Parker, who has given us 3 females in a row. The first girl was sold in our 2022 female sale to Justin Wagner. This offering is her second calf, even better than last years, in our opinion. And her 2023 model looks to be staying put. Lady 47K is phenotypically as perfect a female as one can aspire to own. Exposed Mar 20 – May 14 to RWR Sully 9E (#1211279). Preg tested safe to second week of January.

Parent Verified. Rosette 40K is probably my favorite of all the Dakota females offered, even though they are all stamped pretty much the same. Just love their wide backs and deep hips. Her dam has had a bit of bad luck but all the live ones have been very valuable. 40K has all the genetic potential to be a top end female. SWANTEWITT & SAGE SIMMENTALS 56403 Range Road 145 Yellowhead County, AB T7E 3R4 Gerd 780-712-2096 Jordan 780-712-3600 swantewitt@gmail.com swantewittsimmentals.ca Welcome back to the Lone Stone Invitational female sale! Once again we are so excited and thankful to be part of this wonderful group of people and offer some of our top bred heifers. The Brown family has been such a joy to work with over the past few years and we are very blessed to have the opportunity to contribute to this sale year after year. Every year when we pick heifers we really focused on choosing ones from cow families that we love and have similar females to in our herd already. It’s always a struggle as they are all heifers we would happily keep but we also love sharing some of our very best ones that are a true representation of our herd. You’ll find a variety of horned and polled females in our offering. Most heifers are bred to our polled Swantewitt Haiti 40H service sire who has a great calving ease EPD and worked really well for us last year. His calves weaned off phenomenally and we were super happy with how he crossed with our heifers. We also have a small handful bred to our Swantewitt Kalo 28K sire going back to FGAF Guerrero. We sold Kalo in our sale this past spring but have been fortunate enough to be able to use him for a few of our heifers as we really love his coloring and the thickness in his pedigree. All heifers are on a full vaccine and deworming program having received Express 5, Presponse HM, Covexin, and their first dose of scour guard. They have also received a pour on for parasites.

Don’t let the white spot in the picture fool you, that’s just a pigment mark. Her dam is a dark red solid bodied cow who produces well in our herd each year. The Bunny 160B cow will be pushing 10 years old this winter and she is not slowing down. Her udder and feet are perfect and each year she is completely trouble free.
