Welcome to Transcons Season Wrap Up 2022....

The sale will consist of approx 20 virgin extra age bulls from Tri Star Cattle Company as well as an elite set of females from Antrim Simmentals, Schweitzer/McColl Simmentals, McRuer Simmentals, Downey Farms, Big Sky Simmentals, Ray J Simmentals and Creekside Cattle Company.

The opportunity is here to be able to sit in and buy your herd bulls early. The bulls have been developed slowly and grown out as they should be. Bulls that are not pushed on feed and are selected for structural soundness and performance. These bulls will cover some cows come breeding season and will clip the big coupons when you wean their calves come next fall.

Under the same roof and on the same day you will have the chance to purchase a very strong set of females right from the top end of the herds from some of the best in Manitobia.

Although the numbers aren’t huge the quality of cattle on offer is TOP NOTCH... Value and opportunity is key and it’s all here at Season Wrap Up 2022

We are excited to welcome everyone back to the Season Wrap-Up Sale this year.

I think everyone in our immediate vicinity, already knows how trying this year was, with an exceptionally wet spring. The crops were late getting in, if we got them in at all. Our harvest, like most, was pushed back and with the abundance of grass these bulls didn’t come in as soon as we maybe wanted them to. I don’t think they have the condition at picture time, as the previous bull crop did, but I think it gives us a chance to really admire how naturally muscled these bulls are and what they look like with their working clothes on. I think we have a good group of bulls on offer this year, coming from two new walking service sires and with some AI Bulls sprinkled in. Our first new walking bull, ZSL Dubai, comes from Spring Lake Simmentals at Daysland AB. We couldn’t be happier with the progeny off of this bull. They all come with a dark red coat, great feet and overall structural correctness; he has added bone and hip to his offspring and kept them all very free moving and loose sided. The consistency across the current lot I think is impressive. It doesn’t hurt that Dubai is a Paternal Brother to Zimmers $77,750 High Selling bull this spring ZSL MR OHTANI 7J. Our Second walking herd sire is no slouch either; BERTS Gustavo a direct son of Red Mountain himself. You don’t get any more dependable genetics than that. Gustavo progeny all come with a great temperament, super dark hair coat and very well muscled. Welcome to the 3rd Edition of the Season Wrap Up Sale! This year our consigned numbers may be lower than past years, but the quality of the heifer we’re bringing to town is second to none. Jade has been in our show string for the past two years competing at Manitoba’s Ag Ex, she was a class winner as a heifer calf and a strong competitor in the champion drive. This one checks all the boxes.

Jade has been a standout since day 1, as a calf she always caught your eye in the pen, mostly because she was behind you licking your coveralls or giving you a small nudge to scratch her, personal space was never her forte. Now fast forward a year and she’s become a powerhouse bred. She’s deep ribbed, wide topped, and as soft made and soggy as they come. Her cow family has been pretty influential in our own herd, we’ve retained 5 daughters off of the 275Z cow in the past, including a full sister to Jade that we will not be parting with and also was a feature in our Ag Ex show string alongside her sister.

Here is a fancy, red, polled daughter of Westcott x Crosbyson. Kiara is out of one of our top producing, front pasture females, 56B, that is an excellent milker and has a beautiful profile. 4K gets noticed everytime someone walks into the pasture. If you are looking for a big potential bred this fall, you better take a look here! Downey Ms 2170J is a classy made female with eye appeal and structural integrity of great proportions. Her $100,000 sire, Crossroad Connected 12G has been a fantastic bull in our herd. This past spring we sold several half-brothers to this girl, that were well received for their uniformity and excellent herd bull presence. The Connected females are moderate in size but, powerful in construction, with beautiful udders on them all. Just in two calf crops we know that Connected will have a large impact on our herd, and we feel his progeny will do the same for you!

Here’s a powerful female with a neat twist for her pedigree. On the top side she is sired by the old Fullblood great LFE Inferno 484R. On the bottom side she goes back to two great cow families; the TCCO Centerfold 06K cow and back to the “Flirt” cow family. You’ll be hard to find a female with this much proven maternal value.

18J is a female, that when you analyze her pedigree is hard to find a fault. On the sire side you have none other than Blueprint who still continues to develop top end bulls and females in the industry. Then when you move down and take a look at the bottom side, you have Camero, who we lost far too early, all his females were retained and have been hitting it out of the park. Then none other then Laredo, who still continues to get used every spring. Maternally 18J is a powerhouse, she follows one of our strongest cow families on the farm, 43B being one our flush cows. Then when you take a look at the female herself, she visually grabs you with her eye appeal, feminine front end, spring of rib and depth of body. Being bred to the homo polled HP Bravo calving ease bull just adds to the value and gives the new owner more opportunity for ROI. We calved our first set of calves from him this spring and are impressed with the calves. Born small, LOTS of vigour and explosive growth. Watch for the HP Bravo bull calf out of the high selling female from last years sale at the KSL bull sale. Ray and Janette’s consignment to the sale this year is one that comes straight from the keeper pen and is exactly what the industry is looking for. This big girl is one that has bull maker stamped all over her. She sports the most beautiful colour and has length for days, which Ray always says is the key for calving ease and strong weaning weights. Being a purebred out of a full blood bull allows this girl to step into most herds with an outcross ped igree and the extra jam that is hard to find. Her sire, Cherry Creek Jaguar, has made his mark at Ray J Simmentals and was the sire of the ever-popular ‘Halo’, high selling heifer at Season Wrap Up last year. We bought Jaguar semen off Ray and Janette as we thought so much of him when saw him and his offspring. Calves off him continue to impress at Big Sky. Buy with confidence here.

Welcome to Transcon’s Season Wrap Up Simmental Sale.

We would like to thank Transcon for the invite back to the sale. This year we have brought you two bred heifers as well as two opens. These cattle are raised in commercial conditions so they will all work well for their new homes. They are selected from top quality fertile females on our farm. These animals were pictured just hours after being brought in off grass.

We were fortunate enough to be given the opportunity to obtain semen rights on PERKS Red Wolf 44G from Beechinors Bros in Alberta whom was the sire of the $120,000 red baldie bull sold last spring in their sale to Red Top and Ashworths. The two bred on offer today are both AI to this bull.

Terms and Conditions

TERMS - The terms of the sale are cash, cheque, e-transfer, or wire and are due at the time of sale, unless other arrangements have been made between buyer and seller prior to the sale. Transcon reserves the right to charge interest at a rate of 2% per month on overdue accounts. The right of property shall not pass until after settlement is made. Transcon Livestock Corp. reserves the right to require a certified cheque as settlement before releasing any sale cattle. Should any purchaser fail to settle for their purchase Transcon Livestock Corp. reserves full power to resell the animal to the best advantage either publicly or privately, without further notice. Any loss arising from such resale together with keep and all other expenses shall be payable by the defaulter. All settlements must be made with the clerks of the sale before any cattle will be released. Transcon Livestock Corp and/or the Auctioneer shall have the right to refuse bids from anyone who has a previous record of default in payment or who has not made proper credit clearance prior to the sale with the owner or Sale Managers.

BID - No private sales will be allowed except as otherwise provided for in the terms and conditions. No by-bidding will be permitted.

SALES TAXES – Applicable sales taxes will be charged on semen, embryos, and trucking fees (if listed), respective to the home province of the buyer, not the seller.

DISPUTES - In cases of disputes, bidding will be reopened between the parties involved. If no further bid is made the buyer will be the person from whom the auctioneer accepted the last bid. The auctioneer’s decision in such matters will be final.

PURCHASER’S RISK - Each animal becomes the risk of the purchaser as soon as sold. Animals will be cared for at the purchaser’s risk for a reasonable length of time.

INSURANCE – Each animal becomes the risk of the purchaser at the time of sale and should be insured. Animals returning to the seller’s farm must be insured.

US BUYERS – There is an additional charge (approximately $300.00 US dollars) that will be applied to each animal purchased. This covers documentation, vet inspections/testing required to export. This cost does not include transportation or brokerage which is the responsibility of the buyer.

CATTLE PICTURES AND INFORMATION PROVIDED - The images in this catalogue are believed to be accurate representations of the individual animals and the information contained in this catalogue is provid ed by the seller and believed to be true and accurate. Transcon Livestock Corp. and catalogue designers/ producers assume no responsibility if the images and/or information as received have been altered or is inaccurate.

ANNOUNCEMENTS – All announcements from the auction block will take precedence over the printed mat ter in the catalogue. Buyers are therefore cautioned to pay attention to any such announcements.

CERTIFICATE OF REGISTRY - A registration/recordation certificate issued by the applicable breed associ ation and duly transferred will be furnished to the buyer of each animal after settlement has been made. It is the responsibility of the buyer to determine the acceptance of this certificate in any other association.

SHIPPING - Assistance will be given in making shipment after the sale but no risk is assumed by the Sales Management or Seller. Expenses incurred are the responsibility of the purchaser. Purchasers are requested to furnish shipping instructions when making settlement.

BREEDERS GUARANTEE - As per applicable Canadian Breed Association Breeding Guarantee guidelines. Copies are available at the sale settlement desk to be picked up by the buyer at any time. In no event shall the seller be responsible for reimbursing more than the purchase price.

EXCEPTION TO GUARANTEE - In cases where the animal is subjected to any hormonal or surgical repro duction techniques after the sale, the guarantee shall be null and void.

HEALTH - It is the buyer’s responsibility to determine health requirements for importing any animal into his province or state. Transcon Livestock Corp. assumes no responsibility for the health status of any animal in the sale.

EMBRYO & SEMEN – Full settlement must be made before release is done and shipping arrangements should be done within 30 days of the sale unless arrangements made between buyer and seller prior to the sale. Shipping arrangements and costs are the expense of the purchaser once release has been given.

ACCIDENTS - Although every precaution will be taken to protect the safety and comfort of buyers, neither the Sales Management, auctioneer, consignors, or Association assumes any responsibility in this matter and disclaims any liability legal or otherwise in the event of accident or loss of property.

RIGHTS AND OBLIGATIONS - The above terms and conditions of the sale shall constitute a contract between the buyer and the seller and be equally binding to both. Resale of animals following purchase in this sale shall constitute a separate transaction and the rights and obligations of the two parties connected thereto are not covered by the terms and conditions of this sale.
