Annual Hereford Bull Sale
34 Two Yr Old Bulls • 4 Select Yearling Bulls
1:00 pm CST - March 04, 2023 - At the Ranch South of Moose Jaw
Please join us for our 17th Annual Bull Sale at the ranch southwest of Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan.
This business has allowed us to meet and get to know so many great people and families over the years. It is the best part of the purebred business. Thank you to our valued customers, your support over the years has been very much appreciated. Your support guides our program in producing rancher bulls that can go out and work in the commercial industry.
We have always placed a significant amount of time and effort into the selection of the herd bulls we use and the replacement females we retain in the herd. You will notice many of the pedigrees trace back to our female maker, CL 1 Domino 9121W ET, a bull we purchased from Cooper Hereford Ranch in Montana. The cows behind these bulls are ran the same as our commercial cows, side by side. Udder quality is something we pride ourselves in. Disposition of our cowherd is second to none, but not giving up vigor at birth.
Our two year old bulls after weaning are basically backgrounded through the winter. They receive the same TMR ration as our heifer calves throughout winter; meaning our yearling weights may not be as high as some you will come across. Then in the spring they go to native grass only. We do not creep them in any manner over the summer. Then in late fall they are introduced to a TMR ration. We started them this year on November 1, 2022 and trailed them home in late December.
Our bulls are built to last with longevity in mind. These boys are stout, made with tremendous muscle and tops. They are high in quality and have the ability to adjust to any condition. Buy with confidence, that they will out produce themselves, after all they are half of your calf crop.
The 6049 sons are definitely a feature this year. They are an outcross to our program. The thickness and top of these bulls is simply unbelievable. You need to see them in person to really appreciate the quality of this sire group. They may be the best we have raised to date. We are using two 6049 sons in the herd and one of them is the 2022 Agribition Champion Bull.
Please join us on March 4th for lunch and some great hospitality. We would love to show you what we have to offer.
Take Care and see you then!

How Our Cowherd is Managed:
We ranch in the Back 40 you might say, southwest of Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan on the face of the Missouri Couteau Hill range. Our purebred and commercial cows are managed the same way. 95% of our land base is native grass. Pastures are large and water is scarce. Cows need to be good footed due to the distance they need to travel for water. Every cow is expected to raise a good quality calf and rebreed in a timely fashion. Udder quality is of the utmost importance. Our herd sire selection criteria is based on the quality of the dam first and the rest of the criteria follows.
We have tried to picture as many mothers to the sale bulls as possible so you can see the type of cattle we raise. We are proud of our cowherd and feel we are on the right track, but there is always room for improvement. I think you will be impressed with the pictures in the catalog. Mothers will be available for viewing on sale day. Just ask us and we will take you through the cows.
Sale Bull Selection & Development:
• The two year old sale bulls are kept specifically for this sale to keep quality at the top. They are not left overs from the previous sale.
• We do sell a minimal amount of yearlings bulls in the sale to fulfill the needs of our buyers. They are representatives off of 50 plus bull calves. The remainder is kept for the next year’s sale. The quality is from the entire group.
• We do not trim feet on the sale bulls. We believe buyers appreciate this so they can see exactly what they are buying. Poor footed and structured bulls never make it to the sale pen. They get a one way ticket to town.
• Every purebred calf born at Triple A is weighed with a scale to ensure accuracy. Something to consider is that length of body is most difficult to breed in cattle. Calves with a lot of length will have higher birth weights.
• Lastly, we do not creep feed. The weights are the weights. We believe if you creep feed, how do you really know the true production of your cows.
A Bull for Everyone!
72% of our bulls sell between $4500.00 - $7000.00
28% of our bulls sell between $7000 - $10,000
Our goal is to ensure that any cattle operation can attend our sale and purchase a quality bull within their budget!

We really like how this bull has bred for us. The cattle are thick and round muscled with great breed character. Take a look at our CWA Champion bull - lots of forearm and natural thickness. The foot quality on the 6049’s are exceptional. The first 6049 daughters will calve this spring and we are excited to see what awaits!
