CONDITIONS & GUARANTEE: All entries sell with a responsible breeders guarantee of satisfaction. In the unlikely event of any dispute whatever, regular: TERMS & CONDITIONS recognized in accordance of the Canadian Gelbvieh Association Code of Ethics. ALL CATTLE ARE SOLD subject to tests as required for export under Regulations of Health of Animals Branch, Dept. of Agriculture for Canada. Export Health Charts and other required documents shall be provided at no charge by the consignors. TERMS OF PAYMENT: Cash or cheque payable to Clerk of the Sale on sale day. U.S. funds will be accepted at the current rate of exchange on sale day. INSURANCE: Ownership risk to purchaser commences when Auctioneer’s hammer falls. Full mortality insurance is available by an insurance representative present sale day. LIABILITY: Purchaser mist look to the seller for fulfillment of all guarantees made herunder. At no time will the consignors be liable for more than the original purchase price of the sale animal or equal compensation for that original purchase price. HOLDING & SHIPMENTS: Approximately one week is required for export transfers and other documents to be processed. Export animals will be held at the sale location at no charge and under excellent care. Joint export shipping arrangements to obtain minimal shipping cost will be made by the consignors if instructions to that effect are provided to Clerk of the Sale at time of settlement. TRUCKING: Truckers believed to be reliable will be available on request to transport purchases. OWNERS: Reserve the right to withhold from export shipment animals for whom buyer or buyers agent have not made arrangements for payments in full, or other satisfactory arrangements, prior to time of export departure. ALL PERSONS: Who attend the sale do so at their own risk and the owners and sale staff assume no liability, legal or otherwise for property loss or for any accidents that may occur. BULL GUARANTEE/WARRANTY: Consignors guarantee to sell you a bull that is structurally sound, a bull that has passed a semen test done by a licensed veterinarian. Should any bull fail to be a satisfactory breeder, unable to physically service a cow or heifer, he will be replaced with a bull of equal value. Should this not be possible, an adjustment will be made to reflect the value of the bull in question or a credit will be given towards the purchase of another bull. In short, we guarantee to provide you with a sound breeding bull. We, however, will not provide replacement or adjustment for physical injury or mismanagement. Bearing this in mind, we stress the importance of insurance on your bulls. Should you have a problem with your bull, call us. We will work with you to make sure you are satisfied with your purchase. We have back up bulls set aside for our customers. DELIVERY/PICK UP OPTIONS A: Consignors will keep the bulls until April 15, 2011, at no additional charge. Anything after this date will be at a charge of $2.00/day to the purchaser. Bulls may then be picked up or delivered for free within 200km at the consignor’s convenience. Anything beyond this will be at the cost to the purchaser. Consignors insist all purchases be insured while at consignors’ facilities. B: Purchasers wishing to pick up their bull on sale day or within a week following the sale will receive a $50.00 discount per individual purchased.
This year we have a few new herdsire groups that we are very optimistic about. These new sires have allowed us to offer you, our customer, an outcross pedigree as well as a selection of both calving ease and performance bulls. One thing that we believe sets us apart from other programs is our value in longevity in our livestock and therefore we choose to grow our bulls slowly on a high forage diet. This allows our bulls to get out a work in any situation, ranging from a ranch style operation to a hand breeding purebred program. The cattle market has started to turn around and we are happy to see producers getting paid for their product. With the incline in market prices we feel this is the chance for cattlemen to replace their mature herdsires with fresh new bloodlines. Purchasing a bull is an investment in your herd’s future and a good herdsire can be an invaluable asset. This year’s group of bulls has a lot to offer and we appreciate the interest and support of both new and repeat buyers. We did have him on a handful of cows last breeding season and have already had a couple of calves this calving season and he hasn’t disappointed us. Gotta love the Gelbvieh fertility as he was only 11 months old at the time……and breeding one of our tallest cows. As we are retaining a good number of Gem Dandy calves we have decided to offer this well balanced, moderate bull in this year’s sale. Easy doing and easy going. He will do an awesome job on heifers and cows alike.
