SHOOFLY PIE

Shoofly pie is a molasses pie or cake topped with crumbs It developed its traditional form among the Pennsylvania Dutch in the 1880s. While this dish was historically eaten at breakfast, today it’s primarily eaten as dessert.

RED BEET EGGS

Red beet eggs, or pickled beet eggs, are hard boiled eggs that combine beet juice, cider vinegar, sugar, and salt for a deep red color and distinctive taste.

PIEROGIES

A pierogi is a small dough dumpling stuffed with a filling like potato or cheese and typically served with onions and sour cream.

SCRAPPLE

Scrapple consists of scraps of pork or other meats and combined with cornmeal. It is then shaped into loaves for slicing and frying. It is standard breakfast fare and often topped with maple syrup.
