ART AND CRAFT CENTRE

Area : 14,500 sqm

These centers are typically established to provide a space for artists, artisans, and enthusiasts to gather, create, learn, and exhibit their work. They play a vital role in fostering creativity, encouraging artistic expression, and preserving traditional craftsmanship.

Workshops and Classes : These Art and craft centers offer a range of workshops and classes for people of all ages and skill levels. These can include painting, drawing, sculpture, pottery, ceramics, jewelry making, weaving, woodworking, and more.

Exhibitions and Galleries : These Art and craft centers frequently host exhibitions and galleries to showcase the work of local and visiting artists.

Artist Residencies : Some art and craft centers offer artist residency programs, inviting artists from different backgrounds to live and work on-site for a specific period.

COMMUNITY DESIGN

Semester 4

Typology : Residential Community

Area : 8083 sqm

The project mainly focuses on the design of different housing types that cater to the diverse needes to residents with the creating sense of community and belonging. These project shows the factors such as transportation, housing, public spaces, infrastructure, and amenities to create a holistic and balanced environment. By designing these neighborhoods with well-connected streets, sidewalks, and bike lanes promotes mobility and accessibility. Green spaces and public amenities like incorporating parks, green spaces, playgrounds, and community centers within a community design provides places for recreation, social interaction, and community events. These amenities contribute to the overall well-being of residents.

This community consists of 55 residential units each equipped with its own parking area. The units are divided into 4 blocks and come into 2 sizes. They are 140spm and 60sqm.

The planning of community prioritized inclusivity and a sense of community with all residents having access to public spaces and amenities.

It is remodelling of exterior food stand located opposite to VIT Campous. The concept of this cafe is to have a modern and rich look. And we wanted to add a natural look in the entrance so we just taken some spaces in front entrance for adding a rock seating and natural components. So that the whole place itself have a somekind of rich and natural looks.

RENAISSANCE ARCHITECTURE

Semester 6

Interior design

Renaissance architecture style interior design is characterized by a revival of classical forms and motifs, with a focus on symmetry, proportion, and harmony. In terms of interior design, renaissance style is characterized by grandeur, opulence, and luxury.

ELEMENTS INCLUDES :

ORNATE CEILINGS: Elaborate coffered ceilings, often decorated with frescoes, were a hallmark of renaissance interior design.

RICH MATERIALS: Renaissance interiors were often adorned with luxurious materials such as marble, gold leaf, and silk.

ARCHES AND COLUMNS: Arches and columns, often in the classical style, were used to create a sense of grandeur and monumentality.

SYMMETRY: Renaissance architects and designers placed a strong emphasis on symmetry and balance, with rooms often designed to be mirror images of each other.

MURALS AND FRESCOES: Large-scale murals and frescoes were often used to decorate walls and ceilings, depicting scenes from mythology, history, or nature.

FURNITURE: Renaissance furniture was often large and ornate, with intricate carvings and rich upholstery.
