Fizzy Scones

The most delicious light and fluffy scones you have ever tasted

Ingredients

Method

3 cups self raising flour

Preheat oven to 200-220ยบC

Cut into 2-inch rounds.

Sift the flour into a mixing bowl and gently stir in the cream and lemonade to made dough mixture.

Place on baking tray and brush the tops with some milk. Re-roll scraps to make a few extra scones. Bake for 10-15 minutes until lightly browned.

1 cup cream

1 cup lemonade

Extra flour for kneading

Milk for brushing on top

Turn out onto a floured surface and knead very lightly 8 or 10 times. Gently roll out or pat into a sheet 1/2 inch thick.

Serve warm with your choice of jam and whipped cream.
