LETTER FROM THE EDITOR

We traveled to Kenya shortly after our remarkable Tanzania trip. We were excited, yes. Yet, we couldn’t shake off the feeling that something was a little off. We wrote it off to being too tired and too overbooked, and set our minds in happy anticipation of what we imagined Kenya to be.

Kenya was nothing we expected it to be. It shook us. It shocked us. It also showed us some of its most beautiful sides and it taught us some of our most valuable lessons.

We saw contrasts. Contrasts of untouched raw beauty and man-created ideals. Contrasts of simple life and innate happiness mixed with unexplainable weight of expectations and unachievable desires. Contrasts of longing for more, and strikingly grounding reality of limitations.

Despite of it all, Kenya holds a special place in our hearts.

I invite you to LivingNotes Editorial II: Kenya, Another African Gem.

Enjoy!
