LUNE STRUCK

We love a women-friendly space, and even more so when it’s specifically committed to women’s health and wellness! Studio La Lune is a female-only yoga and wellness studio that just opened last month in Central. More than just a place to come and practice, this pink-paneled haven is dedicated to creating a safe space for all women, literally adorning the studio with images of the feminine divine in all stages of her life. Some of the classes offered here include Yoga For Menstrual Health, Pre- and Postnatal Yoga, and Embrace The Feminine, a yin-style class that incorporates reiki or sound therapy. We’re also super excited to check out their Sisterhood Circles, which touch on breathing techniques, journaling, meditation, movement, setting intentions, and more. They also plan on holding regular events that aim to help women develop their highest potential in life - we couldn’t applaud this goal more! Classes start at $250 per class or $1,600 per month.

NET NEUTRAL

Sustainable swimwear line Rii Swim is the brainchild of local influencer Ellie Furuya, who launched her collection of upcycled bathing suits over the summer. What’s cool about this brand is that everything is made with regenerated nylon, recycled from disused items like old fishing nets. (Not-so-fun fact: did you know that about 640,000 tons of fishing nets are currently left discarded in our oceans?!) All of the bikinis and one-pieces are designed to be timeless - the company’s slogan is “the little black dress of swimwear” - and resistant to chlorine, sunscreen and pilling, so you can wear them for many years to come. Suits start from $740.
