ENERGY SAVINGS UP TO 75% The Akila luminaire integrates the latest cutting edge solutions. The combination of LED technology, a driver working within a constant flux programme and a dimming system makes it possible to achieve energy savings that can reach 75% compared with old HID luminaires. With this very favourable energy balance, the Akila luminaire contributes to the effective management of public or private finances and to the responsible use of energy.

ABSOLUTE MODULARITY Thanks to photometric engines composed of modular quantities of LEDs, the Akila luminaire can offer a wide range of lumen packages from 6,000 up to 56,000 lm. This modularity in size and performance is accompanied by a wide variety of drivers and dimming options in order to optimise the LED solution. By providing this absolute flexibility, Akila ensures that the light distributions are specifically adapted to the real needs of the area to be lit.

PERFORMS IN HIGH TEMPERATURES The Akila luminaire is designed to operate reliably in every part of the world, even the hottest regions. Due to its extruded design, it achieves an excellent thermal conductivity of 200 W/mK. The Akila perfectly withstands high temperatures (Ta up to 55属C depending on the version) which enables it to be installed in regions with the warmest climates at night.

LENSOFLEX速 2 Akila luminaires are equipped with second generation LensoFlex速2 photometric engines that have been specifically developed for lighting spaces where the wellbeing and safety of people using the environments are essential. This system is based upon the addition principle of photometric distribution. Each LED is associated with a specific lens that generates the complete photometric distribution of the luminaire. The light distribution and intensity is determined by the combination of driving current and number of LEDs.

FUTUREPROOF Using state-of-the-art technology, Akila luminaires have been designed to fulfil the FutureProof concept. The optical unit can be removed, allowing replacement in order to take advantage of future technological developments. At any stage during the service life, all models can be equipped with a completely new LEDSafe速 optical unit.

The nominal flux is an indicative LED flux @ tj 25°C based on LED manufacturer’s data. The real flux output of the luminaire depends on environmental conditions (e.g. temperature and pollution) and the optical efficiency of luminaire. Nominal flux depends on the type of LED in use and likely to change in accordance with the continuous and rapid developments in LED technology. To follow the progress of the luminous efficiency of the LEDs used, please visit our website. (**) In accordance with IES LM-80 - TM-21. (*)

AKILA OWLET SOLUTIONS TO MAXIMISE SAVINGS With Schréder’s wide range of Owlet control solutions, your lighting scheme becomes intelligent. Our system approach allows you to use light in the smartest way, with the right level, in the right place and at the right time. You save energy, increase the life of your lighting installation, reduce maintenance costs, enhance comfort and increase safety. Our range of solutions encompasses systems for small areas to complete city networks in order to perfectly suit your requests and your targets in terms of savings. As an option, the Akila luminaire can operate with a scheduled dimming system, a Constant Light Output (CLO) or a complete remote management system.

FLEXIBLE SCHEDULED DIMMING With intelligent ballasts incorporated in the Akila luminaire, we can help you to choose your own optimum dimming system. The 5-level dimming programme ensures that you can adapt the lighting level to the needs of the place and time. Intelligent ballasts work autonomously by taking switch-on and switch-off times as reference points. This means that the system will adapt itself all through the year according to the seasons and the sunset/sunrise. By using light when and where it is necessary, with your own scheduled dimming program, you can easily achieve significant energy savings.
