PURPOSE: The purpose of this brief book is to show the shot list of my shoot, preparing a brief and outcomes I would like from my shoot. Creating moodboards of hair and make-up, styling, poses and a small photography brief has allowed me to put all my ideas in one place to create a cohesive shoot concept and visually expressive document to show how I would like my shoot to be. This brief is of course subject to some change due to props not being accessible, finance, people and time…however, being adaptable and having a structured brief will ensure this shoot does not stray from the original concepts ensuring the outcome is recognisable. Despite the fact that I have produce this shoot on my own, this book would be useful in industry to show and discuss with a number of professionals their brief for the day in a visual manner so they can gain understanding of the concept and what is expected of them whether that be models, make-up, hair or styling assistants.



SHOOT OBJECTIVES OBJECTIVE 1: To create a visually exciting and recognisable shoot that expresses both brands within this collaboration. OBJECTIVE 2: To capture all three looks encapsulating a mixture of more heavily Chanel influenced looks and more heavily DSM influenced looks. OBJECTIVE 3: To capture a range of full images and close-up, detailed based imagery. OBJECTIVE 4: To capture behind the scenes imagery.

Transformed traditions serve the future. Storytelling to a new community of consumers, this campaign aims to encapsulate the essence of a creative collaboration between Chanel and Dover Street Market. Understanding the current disconnect between Gen Z consumers and Chanel this concept looks to use the ideology of Comme Des Garcons/DSM to create a strong campaign creating a new emotional relationship with traditional brands.

CAMPAIGN STORY I am proposing that the shoot reflects both brands in its essence, aesthetic, styling and edit. It is important to capture the entwining of the luxury and timelessness of Chanel alongside the conceptual nature and beautiful chaos of Dover Street to evoke an emotional response and connection to consumers. This will be achieved through a range of styling and different poses taking inspirations from both sides of this collaboration.

The location for this shoot will be a studio. This will allow full control of the shoot without unexpected changes such as weather. The studio will have a white backdrop and bright lighting to best show off the model in a simple yet effective manner.

PHOTOGRAPHY BRIEF Goals: -To capture and produce a catalogue of high-quality imagery to help to promote a creative collaboration between Chanel and Dover Street Market. -To achieve a mix of imagery (depending on the look) some more commercial and some more conceptual in aesthetic. -Shots that play with proportion and distortion, to create more engaging imagery ie: using 0.5 zoom lens or fish eye lens. -To capture detail shots of clothing & close ups of model. -To gain video content for Instagram Reels & TikTok content. References: Photography references can be seen on the left, this can be discussed on the shoot day also. Image usage: Social Media – predominantly Instagram Look Book Website Print – Posters etc
