While the image of the implosion of the infamous Pruitt-Igoe project continues to shock the world of architecture and planning, the site itself has been all but forgotten. St. Louis has never recovered from the impact of Pruitt-Igoe and is currently moving forward with plans to raze the site and the neighborhood around it and fill it with office parks and suburban-style housing.
