Hybrid Virtual / In-Person Day Camps June 21 – August 27

Virtual and Outdoor Classes include Preschool Spanish language immersion (Bamboleo Amiguitos), Fun on the Farm, and Skyhawks Sports Academy (baseball, basketball and soccer basics). Youth D-Up Basketball, Mad Science and Play Well Teknologies Specialty Camps and Read Write Education Solutions for math and reading will be offered.

This is the first print issue we’ve published in a year and we are dedicating it––from the bottom of our hearts––to you… the parents, family members, teachers, and friends that stepped up this past year to not only raise the kids you love (which is no easy task), but to become an amazing teacher, energetic entertainer, backyard coach, counselor/referee, you name it…you have taken it on. You have dug deep to fill those hours at home with meaning and love, and for that, you are our hero.

We wanted to give you our “Parent of the Year” award in person, but instead thought we’d put together a list of summer goodies that will make your family happy and hopefully give you a little break. Consider these 32 pages a thank you note from Kidsguide for the hard work, long hours, and basically, making it through one tough year.

As for us, you can see that we have pared down to COVID survival mode, but there is a lot of (summer) light at the end of the tunnel and we are excited about the year ahead.

Activities will center on a different weekly theme and include a variety of arts and crafts, outdoor sports, indoor games and specialized activities congruent with the week’s theme. County health protocols will be followed and include staff and campers wearing face coverings, exercising physical distancing and confirming good health before and during participation.

Registration is open; non-residents may register beginning June 20. $130 per week for residents, and $145 per week for non-residents. There is also a one-time materials fee of $15 per camper for a personal supply kit of basic arts and crafts materials. LA Opera Connects - Opera Camp www.LAOpera.org/OperaCamp Are you between the ages of 9-17 years old and looking to sing, create and challenge yourself in a virtual experience this summer? Join Opera Camp and find your voice. Everyone is welcome, no matter how much experience you have (or don’t have). Opera Camp is an enriching two-week virtual program where you will rehearse and perform opera. It’s an intense, fun-filled experience, running from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. Campers work each day with LA OperaConnects teaching artists on music, dramatic expression, and utilizing technology to deliver artistic experiences virtually.
