DARE TO BE GREAT Everyone’s searching for something: an original thought, a challenging career…a college that’s just the right fit. Whatever it is requires two things above all else: a commitment to find it and the conviction to see it through. At Edinboro, we’ll help you do both. Student Government Offices
• Edinboro faculty know their stuff…more than two-thirds hold doctorate or other advanced degrees. • With a student/faculty ratio of just 18 to 1, we get to know each other at Edinboro. • Students in Edinboro’s Dr. Robert C. Weber Honors Program are eligible to apply for programs and scholarships sponsored by the National Collegiate Honors Council.

Why do we take more notice of something when it contrasts with our expectations? Perhaps it’s because a different viewpoint can turn into something extraordinary. Edinboro will challenge you to have the imagination to dream of it first. 2
DARE TO BE GREAT
HONORS PROGRAM If you have the motivation, Edinboro has the faculty to help you take your education to the next level. In the Robert C. Weber Honors Program, you have the opportunity to learn alongside other talented students in small classes and establish valuable mentoring relationships with our stellar faculty. Students qualify for admission to the honors program based on academic achievement, aptitude test scores, class rank and teacher recommendations. Open to all majors, Edinboro’s honors program provides you with individual attention and extraordinary experiences on campus, around the country or abroad. What’s more, honors students can take advantage of preferential scheduling, dedicated Living Learning Floors, extended library privileges and honors scholarships.
RESEARCH OPPORTUNITIES Some students simply want to dig deeper. To support your efforts, Edinboro’s Office of Grants and Sponsored Programs conducts an annual competition every fall that awards research funds in Liberal Arts and Humanities, Sciences, Education and Business for supplies, travel and equipment. Grant winners present their research and findings at the Dean’s Research Colloquium.

INTERNSHIPS It’s hard to beat real-world, hands-on experience. So Edinboro encourages you to get out there and intern. Every major has one or more designated internship directors who assist you with identifying opportunities and coordinating internship credits.

DARE TO BE A SUCCESS
Dr. Bob Wallace Television Studio
It’s been said that success is found in the journey, not the destination. In college, that may mean playing it safe at times, but also taking the occasional calculated risk. At Edinboro, you’ll learn that striking the right balance is often the way to discover the true meaning of success. 10
DARE TO BE GREAT
ADMISSIONS As you might expect, Edinboro admits students based on grades, interest and motivation. We get a sense of these from your official high school records and your SAT/ACT aptitude tests, as well as recommendations and interviews. For majors such as music, an audition is required too. Keep in mind that Edinboro uses a rolling admission system. That means we review applicants until capacity is filled in our various academic programs. Because of that, there are no admission application deadlines. Remember, you can apply to Edinboro anytime after July 1 of your junior year in high school.
FINANCIAL AID Someone has probably already told you “a college education is an investment in your future.” We certainly agree. That’s why Edinboro’s Financial Aid Office does its best to help qualified students secure available financial assistance from both state and federal programs. You’ll be pleased to know that Edinboro students graduate with among the least amount of debt in the nation. So be sure to mark your calendar for March 15 – that’s when the Free Application Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) must be on file if you want to be considered for financial aid.
