Lizz Aston

Lizz Aston is a craftsperson and designer with a keen interest in social design and social innovation. In her work, Aston merges structured forms of collaboration including participatory design and co-design methods with material practice, speculative design and systems thinking. Whether working with her hands to create large-scale installations, or employing design methods to tackle complex problems, Aston’s approach to design is human-centered and process driven. Aston has worked on numerous community-based projects, policy development and advocacy initiatives. She is interested in designing tools, communications, products, systems, services, strategies, art and interventions - whatever it takes to address the core issue at hand.
