the total area of gaotian town is about 637000 sq meters. Previously, the residential area is about 33.76% of the city, which cause some issues such as low infrastructure arrangement and high residential density. Before starting the landscape design of riverside park, there are some urban planning proposals about the revision of Gaotian Town.

The children playground on water is pretty vital for the whole park. Since the river has been filtered by upper stream wetland. the down stream water going into this area is inteded to be touchable for people. Water is always attractive to children, besides there are multiple exhibition rooms which provide with educational knowledge.

Shelters have been viewed as important elements in the landscape design on this site. Since the riverside bank is more likely to provide with open space and comfortable pedestrian route for public to take a rest. The shelter design is need to be flexible and interesting. Curvy lines and straight ones are the design language which come from the paddy rice, which also demonstrate the smooth feature of river and sharp urban character.
