Job Description and Application Process Math and Applied Technologies Job Profile This position provides leadership and management for the Math and Applied Technologies programs, specifically: Automotive, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Fire Technology, Law Enforcement, Mechanical Engineering Technology and Pre-Engineering. The Associate Dean supports the Academic Dean in the successful deployment of strategic initiatives on the Campus. The Associate Dean works closely with the advisory committee, maintains contact/relationship with business and industry and is committed to student success/completion agenda. This role is responsible for the development, review and evaluation of academic plans, curriculum, programs, course schedules and budgets within the division. The Associate Dean recruits, selects, supervises and evaluates faculty and division/departmental staff; ensures that plans, activities and expectations for faculty and staff at various levels within the campus and within the division are communicated; and collaborates with other academic area team members as part of the campus-based academic leadership team
Business and Information Technology Job Profile This position provides leadership and management for the Business and Information Technology programs at the Western Campus, specifically: Accounting, Business Administration, Court/Conference Reporting, Information Technology, Marketing, Paralegal Studies, Human Resources, Management and International Business. The Associate Dean supports the Academic Dean in the successful deployment of strategic initiatives on the Campus. The Associate Dean works closely with the advisory committees, maintains contact/relationship with business and industry, and is committed to student success/completion agenda. Application deadline for the Associate Dean of Business and Information Technology is Friday, October 5.

This position develops and manages the division’s academic schedule, handles student issues, conducts curriculum assessment, evaluation, and revisions as necessary. The Associate Dean may be assigned to support college-wide coordination of planning, resource allocation and quality assurance for the assigned discipline, and keeps close contact with business and industry and advisory boards in an effort to keep curriculum current and bring needed resources to the College.
Required Qualifications • Master’s degree in Math, an applied technology or related field • Demonstrated experience as a department manager or higher level in Math or applied technologies within a college or industry setting • Demonstrated leadership skills • A commitment to one’s own professional development • Ability to work collaboratively with one’s peers in other disciplines, functional units and sister campuses • Creative thinker and problem solver • Experience in supervising faculty and/or staff in daily divisional operations, budget management and program coordination • Demonstrated commitment to student success and to enhancing teaching and learning • Experience working with and sensitivity to the needs of a diverse population Please see website: https://careers.tri-c.edu/postings/51994 for additional qualifications
