JANUARY
NEW YEAR, NEW YOU! TIFFANY MURRELL RECRUITMENT SPECIALIST EASTERN CAMPUS Like many people, I decided to embark upon a health journey as one of my New Year’s resolutions. APRIL
HEATHER HETCHLER ADJUNCT INSTRUCTOR, COMMUNICATIONS WESTSHORE CAMPUS Not long ago, I found myself in my mid-30s, a single mother raising four kids under the age of 5. I was caring for my children and my home, but not myself. Then I met a single father of two young girls. We fell in love, got married and formed a family of eight. We soon realized that blended families come with challenges you don’t expect. I was motivated to start a blog to help connect blended families with one another. That blog transitioned into a company that serves non-traditional families. (More…) Learn more at learning2step.com.

DON’T LET FEAR CONTROL YOUR LIFE KRIS WALZ, ED.D. INTERIM DEAN, STUDENT AFFAIRS WESTSHORE CAMPUS In college, I was diagnosed with common variable immunodeficiency {CVID}, a primary immune deficiency disease characterized by low levels of protective antibodies. Once a month, I receive infusions to partially restore my immunoglobulin levels. The antibodies I receive come from the blood of healthy donors.
