INTRODUCTION TO LJMU SCHOLARSHIPS

LJMU will be awarding a range of international scholarships for students enrolling at the University in January 2021. These prestigious awards take the form of partial tuition fee scholarships and are available for outstanding international students applying for postgraduate courses. We fund tuition fee reductions and work alongside external funding sources to give our students many options to explore.

AM I ELIGIBLE?

In order to qualify you must: n Be a self-funded international student n Meet the conditions stated in your full-time,

Postgraduate Taught (PGT) course offer letter

n Not already be benefiting from an existing

scholarship award of sponsorship

DO I NEED TO APPLY?

Our scholarship funding is automatically awarded and will not require a separate application form to your course.

NEED ADVICE?

LJMU also work alongside many other funding sources to provide full and partial scholarships for individuals looking to progress their academic goals. For more detailed information on these additional opportunities, please visit

PLEASE NOTE THAT ALL NON-UK STUDENTS WILL BE REQUIRED TO PAY FOR THEIR ACCOMMODATION IN FULL BEFORE THEIR ARRIVAL IN THE UK, UNLESS THEY CAN PROVIDE A UK RESIDENT GUARANTOR WHO IS ACCEPTABLE TO THE OWNER OF THEIR CHOSEN ACCOMMODATION

BUDGET FOR YOUR LIVING COSTS

As well as tuition fees, you need to budget for your living costs. You must budget for a minimum of £1,023 per month (at a maximum of nine months) to cover your living expenses, according to UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI). Therefore if you are coming to study for a course of nine months or more you will need £9,207. If you are accompanied by your family, you will need an additional £6,120 per year for your husband, wife and for each of your children. You can use this handy International Student Calculator here:
