SUPPORTING YOUR STUDIES

Making the jump into degree-level study can be challenging at first. We can support and help you develop good study habits, giving you the confidence to succeed in your course every step of the way.

Academic skills such as searching for information, critical thinking, academic writing and referencing play a key part in university study and assessment. You may also need to develop your maths or English, and use of digital technology.

To help you develop these skills, library services provide online learning resources, regular classes and dropins, as well as one-to-one appointments for all students.

n Learn alongside other students in regular classes and workshops n Get one-to-one advice in drop-ins, appointments and email n Engage in online learning through webinars and virtual appointments n Develop your skills with our wide range of self-study resources in Canvas and on our webpages.

The course itself made me gain research skills, look in depth at problems, suppress unconscious bias, learn about the topic and so much more.

All these experiences helped me build my confidence and become the best version of myself. I could not be happier. I am so grateful for this experience. I will never be able to thank LJMU staff for all the support offered and for believing in me.
