It’s okay to start with an idea of how you want things to progress, but when unplanned things, images, feelings, and the like arise, accept them.
Like everything in life, the more you practice, the easier it becomes to enter trance. You’ll find that you slip into trance more easily each time. The biggest learning curve comes from our failures, so make a note when a particular technique doesn’t work for you. Ask why it didn’t work; try to pinpoint what was a turn off for you and then go from there.
Trancework and meditation add an extra dimension to your witchcraft. With that said, give yourself the time and space to learn because it does require both. As you work through the book, you will come across a variety of guided meditations and visualisation exercises. It might be helpful to make a recording of the meditation before doing it so that you can play it back during the meditation.

Rituals and spells are an important part of witchcraft and magic and quite often you might hear these terms used interchangeably as synonyms. Indeed, there is often an overlap between the two.
