To create a “luxury urban” feel, the owner of the LELAND home specifically requested that shades of gray color the home, Ballantyne says. In the kitchen, the color scheme is called out by a granite island countertop, with waves of gray and creamy white, and a backsplash with clear glass, black and stainless steel tiles. These features visually marry the white and brushed stainless steel perimeter cabinetry, gray-finished island and dark quartz granite perimeter countertops. TURQUOISE WALLS

Eye-catching and artistic Designers Nancy Paul and Julie Bell from Designs on Madison showed that people with glass-walled offices should definitely throw around powerful colors. Because a study in the Daniels home (ABOVE) is visible to the rest of the expansive living space, the solid walls are painted with a bold shade that builds on the home’s artistic nuances.
