Hekaya Digital Storytelling (Hekaya) is a Not-for-Profit (Reg. No. 2009/018348/08) organisation based in Johannesburg, South Africa. In 2009 we got together a group of professionals to formalize a media company, so that we can empower people to tell their own stories, in addition to offering professional content delivery. This idea was born of a desire to deepen people's access to democracy, decision-making and enabling dis-empowered people to gain a voice. We continue to believe that people should have the means to tell their own stories. With our unsurpassed network of media professionals and storytellers throughout Africa, Hekaya deliver storytelling solutions, from training to advocacy.
