Company presentation
Company history JEMA AGRO A/S was founded on September 1st 1943 by Jens and Marie Pedersen. In the beginning the company produced tires for bicycles (a product in great demand during the war) from old car tires. They hammered small circles of rubber out of scrap car tires. These small circles were then put on a strong metal thread, that was placed around the wheel of the bicycle before the ends were merged together to make a tight loop around the bicycle wheel. After the war a local farmer asked Jens to make a transport system for straw and the foundation for the company we know today was thereby laid. Even today the principle of the rubber circles is still a component of several of the conveyor systems. I 1996 JEMA took over the ownership of Tvingstrup Machine Factory (JEMA LIFT).

Company work flow When selling bigger conveyor systems with multiple machines the work flow will normally look like this: 1. The customer contacts us and asks for a quotation. 2. Our sales person estimates whether a customer visit is necessary to obtain the precise details regarding demands to the system and correct measurements. 3. The job is then forwarded to our technical department and a structural designer. The job now consists of all details about the building, the composition of machines etc. 4. The structural designer makes a detailed drawing of the building, grain pits, silos and the actual conveying system. 5. The job is now handed back to the sales person with the drawing and a list with exact length/height of each machine and the amount of additional equipment e.g. pipes and bends, that are needed in order to connect the different machines. 6. From the drawing and the list the sales person makes a quotation and evaluates it with the customer. 7. The quotation is ready to be activated and become an order.
