Jennifer Vallez of Sophie & Lili
Since 1978, North American Bear Co. has been creating imaginative children’s products and distinctive toys in signature whimsical style. We’re proud of our history and our ever-growing roster of award winners as testimony that a child is never too young (or old) to appreciate good design. Here’s a look at some of our latest achievements:
Jennifer Vallez, an FIT graduate and mother of two, describes Sophie & Lili as Classic, Playful, and Back-to-Basics. Sophie & Lili, named for her great-grandmothers, started as a little girls clothing company after Jennifer was inspired by a vintage wrap skirt she found at a Flea Market. By 2007, Sophie & Lili was in more than 500 boutiques.
